Bajaj Tackles CNG Tank Safety Issues in Freedom 125 CNG Bike
July 6, 2024

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility. How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height. What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot. When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. This safety measure at CNG fuel stations helps prevent accidents in case the CNG cylinder explodes. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the June 2024 FADA two-wheeler sales report. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb                 Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta                 Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

A new entry-level LX edition of the Destini 125 will be available with other variants, according to a leaked document. In the Indian market, Hero MotoCorp debuted the second-generation Destini 125 in September 2024. Nevertheless, the brand only offered three models at the time: VX, ZX, and ZX+. Now, we get to know that a new base edition of the Destini 125, called LX, will be launched. The launch of a new entry-level model is confirmed by a leaked registration approval document. Moreover, it is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the whole Destini 125 lineup at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Hero Destini LX will be the most reasonable model in the Destini 125 lineup because it is the base model.  What Can We Expect? Some of the most fundamental characteristics that can help with cost-cutting may be included in the new model. Steel wheels and drum brakes could be preferred over the alloy wheels and disc brakes seen on the other Destini 125 models. Additionally, it may have an instrument console that is entirely analogue. Just so you know, a digital-analogue cluster is an option for the VX version. In an effort to attain even more aggressive pricing, Hero MotoCorp may potentially choose not to include the Destini 125 LX's chrome accents. It is anticipated that the suspension system, which consists of a mono-shock unit at the back and telescopic forks at the front, would be kept from the preceding versions. In terms of specs, the Hero Destini 125 LX is probably going to be driven by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine. It produces a power of 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.4 Nm. Moreover, it could be mated to a CVT transmission. According to Hero, it offers the best-in-class mileage of 59 km/l. In the Indian market, it will compete with the TVS Jupiter 125 and the Honda Activa 125.Before you go, check out the Comparison of Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 vs Jawa PerakFollow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

We are here to assist you in deciding which of these unique bikes provides the greatest value and riding experience. Engine ComparisonThe Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is equipped with a 5-speed transmission and a 349 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is tuned for 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of maximum torque. The Jawa Perak has a 334 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It has a maximum power output of 29 bhp and a maximum torque of 30 Nm. Furthermore, a six-speed transmission powers the gearbox. Specifications ComparisonThe tubeless spoke wheels of the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 are 16 inches in the back and 19 inches in the front. The RE bobber's telescopic forks are further features. Moreover, the ByBre units with dual-channel ABS provide the braking performance. However, the Jawa 42 Bobber and the Jawa Perak are similar. It is equipped with a 240 mm disc in the back and a 280 mm disc up front. Dual-channel ABS is a standard feature. The spoked wheels are 17 and 18 inches in length. Features ComparisonThe Jawa Perak has a stylish analogue instrument console and speedometer. This portion provides a simple yet useful arrangement by displaying crucial info like the fuel level, travel information, and odometer readings. Although it has a similar configuration, the Goan Classic 350 goes one step further by offering a semi-digital instrument console. Design ComparisonDespite their retro-inspired designs, these bikes are distinguished by their distinct characteristics. The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is a real show-stopper, with striking colours like Trip Teal, Purple Haze, Rave Red, and Shack Black that grab attention right away. Its whitewall tyres add to its antique look and give it an appealing yet genuine retro feel.  On the other hand, the Jawa Perak has a more subtle, even enigmatic appeal. It has a timeless vibe because of its sleek lines, traditional round headlight, and simple design. In contrast, the Jawa Perak's design language exudes a more understated appeal. Its design is genuinely vintage. The Perak receives elegant lines, a minimalistic appearance, and a circular headlight. It's interesting to note that the Perak only comes in one colour—Stealth—in contrast to the Goan Classic 350. Price ComparisonThe RE Goan Classic 350 is the most expensive 350cc motorcycle from Royal Enfield. The prices for the RE Goan Classic 350 start at ₹2.35 lakh for the single-tone colour options, while the dual-tone colour options are priced at ₹2.38 lakh.
