A new entry-level LX edition of the Destini 125 will be available with other variants, according to a leaked document. In the Indian market, Hero MotoCorp debuted the second-generation Destini 125 in September 2024. Nevertheless, the brand only offered three models at the time: VX, ZX, and ZX+.
Now, we get to know that a new base edition of the Destini 125, called LX, will be launched. The launch of a new entry-level model is confirmed by a leaked registration approval document. Moreover, it is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the whole Destini 125 lineup at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Hero Destini LX will be the most reasonable model in the Destini 125 lineup because it is the base model.
Some of the most fundamental characteristics that can help with cost-cutting may be included in the new model. Steel wheels and drum brakes could be preferred over the alloy wheels and disc brakes seen on the other Destini 125 models. Additionally, it may have an instrument console that is entirely analogue. Just so you know, a digital-analogue cluster is an option for the VX version.
In an effort to attain even more aggressive pricing, Hero MotoCorp may potentially choose not to include the Destini 125 LX's chrome accents. It is anticipated that the suspension system, which consists of a mono-shock unit at the back and telescopic forks at the front, would be kept from the preceding versions.
In terms of specs, the Hero Destini 125 LX is probably going to be driven by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine. It produces a power of 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.4 Nm. Moreover, it could be mated to a CVT transmission. According to Hero, it offers the best-in-class mileage of 59 km/l. In the Indian market, it will compete with the TVS Jupiter 125 and the Honda Activa 125.
