2025 Triumph Trident 660 Unveiled: What’s New
2025 Triumph Trident 660 Unveiled: What’s New
CalendarPublished on October 9, 2024 by BikeJunction
Triumph has unveiled its popular Trident 660 motorcycle for 2025 with new electronics and improved suspension. The Trident 660, which first launched in 2021, quickly became a hit, selling more than 35,600 units worldwide. As a result, this success made it easy for Triumph to decide on upgrades for 2025 without changing the motorcycle’s price in Europe. New Electronics and Suspension for Better ControlThe newest feature in the bikes is the six-axis IMU. This brings in cornering ABS and traction control, which can make the bike safer and easier to handle in a turn. The Trident 2025 also comes with a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. This means riders can shift gears almost without touching the clutch; something that was previously an optional extra. Also included as standard for those long tours is cruise control. New Ride Mode and SuspensionThe Trident's 660cc engine still makes 80 bhp, but there's a new Sport ride mode. This mode gives quicker and sharper throttle responses. It joins the Road and Rain modes, which help riders adjust to different road conditions. Furthermore, the suspension has also been improved. The front now has a Showa 41mm Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP), which makes the ride smoother and better to handle. This is a big upgrade from the previous fork. The rear suspension stays the same, with a preload-adjustable Showa RSU rear shock. New Colours and PricingTriumph offers the Trident 660 in four colour options for 2025. Three of these are new: Cosmic Yellow, Cobalt Blue, and Diablo Red. The Jet Black colour option from the previous model is still available. Apart from this, the price of the 2025 Trident 660 remains the same as the previous model in Europe. In India, where the Trident 660 is a popular choice, Triumph is expected to maintain the price of Rs. 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom).  Before you go, don’t forget to check out the recently unveiled 2025 Aprilia Tuono V4.Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

Why Is Triumph Recalling Tiger Sport 660 And Trident 660 Models?
CalendarPublished on March 1, 2024 by BikeJunction
On February 14 2024, Triumph Motorcycle America issued a safety recall for its - Trident 660s and Tiger Sport 660s models. As per the NHTSA's Safety Recall Report, China claimed the first service warranty back in mid-July. Then, two more claims from China came by late August month. This situation led Triumph Motorcycles to start an investigation to find the cause of these continual claims. When the quality department submitted its findings on February 24, 2024, Triumph realised that detaching front fork caps was the cause of this issue. Also, it involves the replacement of the MAP hose, which can create issues with the MAP sensor. Triumph adds to the report that bikes produced before May 2022 were affected by the recall due to a machining error, which has since been corrected.Triumph Bikes Affected After the RecallAround 107 bikes sold in the US are believed to be facing issues due to improperly machined front fork caps. The table given below provides the production date for the models recalled by Triumph Motorcycle America.  Model Name Production DateTriumph Trident 660May 18, 2022 to April 28, 2022Triumph Tiger Sport 660 May 5, 2022 to May 24, 2022The fork caps inserted during the production could have their threads torn away, thereby detaching from the fork tube.
