Though the launch was originally scheduled for earlier this year, Triumph cited various reasons for the delay. Despite the postponement, the official release date for the Daytona 660 has now been confirmed.  Performance, Design, and Features Unveiled The Triumph Daytona 660 is built on the Trident 660 Roadster platform but with a more powerful inline-triple engine. Its 660cc engine produces 95bhp at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm. Notably, 80 per cent of torque is available at just 3,125 rpm, making it rideable in urban areas on various terrains.  The bike’s design epitomises the classic supersport look, with a streamlined fairing, twin LED headlights and a swept tail section.  Under the bodywork, the bike features tubular steel rim wheels with a 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD fork. It is supported by its Showa monoshock with preload adjustment for braking, which has 310mm twin wheels at the front and 220mm at the rear.  The bike comes with three electronic ride modes-Rain, Road and Sport and has standard dual-channel ABS. August will be just as eventful as last month, with four entries. These include two versions of the country's best-selling motorcycles. In August, four exciting two-wheeler launches are set to make waves. Look out for the updated Yezdi Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, BSA Gold Star's new entry-level bike, and more. These models promise enhanced performance, innovative features, and fresh designs. BSA Gold Star The BSA Gold Star will be launched on Independence Day. This motorbike has a modern-retro design and is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Moreover, the engine produces 45bhp and 55Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. One of the standout features of the Gold Star is its styling, which functions with period-correct paint and chrome accents that highlight its traditional aesthetic.  In terms of hardware, the motorcycle features a cradle frame with a telescopic front and twin spring absorbers at the rear. It rides on wire-spoke wheels and has disc brakes at both ends, with ABS included as standard. The expected price of the bike is around Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 3.3 lakhs respectively.  Updated TVS Jupiter 110 The TVS Jupiter 110 remains the company's shining star despite being in the market for years with very few changes. Its recognition stems from its upright and amazing design, comfortable seats, and smooth ride. The engine is efficient and nicely made, and TVS has packed plenty of features into the scooter. In 2024, a major restructuring is anticipated, in addition to expanded possibilities. The scooter’s offerings also include the opportunity for a TFT display.  Royal Enfield Classic 350 Royal Enfield’s Classic 350 has been a big fulfilment in India in view of its initial release. However, it has been available in the market for quite some time, and it is getting a little long in the tooth. To address this, the brand will release a redesigned Classic 650 on August 12.  The new model is expected to come with new colours, possible design changes, and additional features. The engine and other basic components with hardware are expected to continue to be the same because no changes were as such needed.  Triumph Daytona 660 The Triumph Daytona 660 has been eagerly awaited. Originally scheduled for release a few months ago, the brand was not on time until August 2024 because of some delays. However, the motorbike is now hitting the dealerships and is officially open for ordering.  The Daytona 660 is built on the Trident 660 platform. It has a sporty design and a supersport-like ride position, although it's far much less powerful than the Daytona 675. Moreover, it is powered by a 660cc inline-triple engine generating 95bhp at 11,250 rpm and 69Nm at 8,250 rpm. Triumph claims that most of the torque is offered from as low as the 3,125 rpm.  We expect Triumph to price the Daytona 660 around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The much anticipated Triumph Daytona 660 has been listed on the official Indian website, hinting at an upcoming launch. The upcoming Triumph Daytona 660 might be sharing the same engine as the current models - Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. These models are currently being powered by an inline-three, liquid-cooled engine, generating 93.80 bhp & 69 NM peak torque. This engine is already known for offering amazing performance and acceleration. The pickup on this bike is also going to be great. As for other hardware, the Daytona 660 is fitted with an agile suspension system and a tubular steel frame that will make the cornering smooth and easy. The front suspension is a 41 mm USD Fork with 110 mm travel. The rear suspension system will have a Showa Monoshock with a preload adjustability feature. For the braking system, the bike will probably have 220 mm single disc brakes with 1-piston for the rear and for the front suspension, it has 310 mm disc brakes with 4-piston callipers. This system offers great control and very responsive braking. Along with these, the bike will also have a dual-channel ABS for additional safety and peace of mind. In addition to its outstanding performance, the Daytona 660's edgy look draws attention.
