Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility.How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height.What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot.When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. KTM has launched its latest big bike lineup in India with four exciting models. These include the KTM 890 Duke R, the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, the KTM 890 Adventure R, and the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. The new lineup reflects KTM's commitment to performance, speed, and innovation. These bikes are designed to deliver thrilling rides and feature advanced technology. Let’s look at each model in more detail. KTM 890 Duke RKTM launched the 890 Duke R in India at Rs. 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike has sharp styling, typical of KTM’s street bikes, with an angular LED headlight, bold colours, and an orange-coloured frame. This bike is powered by an 890cc, liquid-cooled engine that generates 121 bhp and 99 Nm of torque. Moreover, this engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. The 890 Duke R has a tubular steel frame and features a WP Apex front fork and monoshock. It has advanced electronics, including lean-sensitive traction control and cornering ABS. Furthermore, the bike also offers three ride modes and an optional Track mode for racing. KTM 1390 Super Duke RKTM 1390 Super Duke R is priced at Rs. 22.96 lakh (ex-showroom). This flagship model has a 1,350cc, LC8 V-twin engine producing a massive 190 bhp. The engine has updates like a new camshaft, a redesigned airbox, and larger throttle bodies, which makes it incredibly powerful. Moreover, it has a strong tubular steel frame and a smaller subframe for a compact design. The 1390 Super Duke R runs on 17-inch Michelin Power GP tyres and has WP semi-active suspension with five modes. It features Brembo Stylema brakes. Furthermore, there are advanced electronics, too, like riding modes, traction control, and lean-sensitive ABS. Meanwhile, its Bluetooth-enabled TFT screen houses all the settings and provides key information. KTM 890 Adventure RKTM also introduced the 890 Adventure R in India at Rs. 15.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is inspired by KTM’s Dakar racing models and has a rugged design suited for off-roading. It has an 889cc twin-cylinder engine, making 103.2 bhp and 100 Nm. Additionally, the engine connects to a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter and slipper clutch. This adventure bike has electronic aids, including cornering ABS, traction control, and multiple ride modes. The TFT screen provides turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone compatibility. The WP Apex suspension and Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres ensure stability on rough terrains, while the tall stance adds comfort for long rides. KTM 1290 Super Adventure SKTM 1290 Super Adventure S is priced at Rs. 22.74 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s a large and powerful adventure bike with a 1301cc twin-cylinder engine producing 158 bhp. The tall design and bulky bodywork make it ideal for long trips and off-road adventures. This bike is packed with electronic features, including ride modes, traction control, and cruise control. The seven-inch TFT display allows smartphone connectivity. The 2025 Honda CL500 scrambler was unveiled at EICMA 2024, marking the brand's comeback into the scrambler segment. Powered by a 471cc parallel twin, the CL500 combines retro-inspired styling with modern performance.  It embodies long-travel suspension and knobby tyres and maintains a comfortable riding position suitable for everyday use. This scrambler boasts a classic design enhanced with modern features such as its digital display and advanced safety options. More importantly, the bike now comes with a bigger 12-litre fuel tank, which, with a newly redesigned upswept exhaust of dual ports, gives the bike a little panache. The bike also has ergonomic features—the seat height is reduced to 790mm, thus providing better riding postures, thanks to footpegs that have been moved forward. Mechanically, the CL500 stays the same as its 471cc parallel-twin engine. Still, updated fuel mapping and an improved intake system are part of the updates, ensuring it conforms to Euro 5+ emissions standards. The rest of the engine is the same, producing 45.9bhp at 8,500rpm and 43.4Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. Honda has, though, altered the rear sprocket from 40 to 41 teeth, which helps a little to provide acceleration for a slightly more responsive ride. The CL500 comes with full LED lighting, a new LCD dash for better readability, and an Emergency Stop Signal.
