Royal Enfield has introduced the Bear 650 in India, with a starting price of Rs. 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Built on the same platform as the popular Interceptor 650, the Bear 650 stands out with a more rugged design and added off-road capabilities. Moreover, this bike is positioned as a middleweight scrambler and targets riders looking for adventure and versatility. Below is the price list of this Royal Enfield bike according to its 5 colour options:
Colour Option | Price in India |
Broadwalk White | Rs. 3.39 lakh |
Petrol Green | Rs. 3.44 lakh |
Wild Honey | Rs. 3.44 lakh |
Golden Shadow | Rs. 3.51 lakh |
Two Four Nine | Rs. 3.59 lakh |
The Bear 650 takes some features from the Interceptor but adds unique details to give it a scrambler style. It features all-LED lighting, a reshaped tail section, and an updated seat. The braced handlebar and wire-spoke wheels of 19 inches in the front and 17 inches in the rear complement its off-road stance. Moreover, this bike has a TFT instrument cluster, similar to the one on the new Himalayan, which adds modern functionality with smartphone compatibility and navigation.
The Bear 650 runs on the same 650cc parallel-twin engine found in the Interceptor, delivering 47 bhp but with an increased torque of 57 Nm. This enhanced torque is achieved through a unique two-into-one exhaust system, which also reduces the bike’s overall weight by 2 kg. Furthermore, the engine pairs with a six-speed gearbox that provides both city-friendly and off-road-ready performance.
Built for handling rough terrain, the Bear 650 has long-travel USD forks in the front and conventional springs at the rear. Its braking system includes single discs on both wheels, supported by dual-channel ABS, for optimal control and stability on uneven paths.
