The Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, both 650cc motorcycles are in the news. The two beasts from Royal Enfield, now available in all-black variants, were recently revealed by the company. These models are currently available for purchase on the company's UK website.
Further, they are expected to launch in India in the near future. We previously provided an insight of the Interceptor 650 in all black. Now, we are writing about a set of details showcasing the Continental GT 650 in its new all-black design.
Two new paint themes, Apex Grey and Slipstream Blue, are now available for the all-black Continental GT 650. Additionally, both the engine and exhaust system have been given an all-black treatment. Further, the black theme extended to the front fork tubes and rear-view mirrors.
The design of the all-black variant remains unchanged from the standard version. This black Continental GT 650 includes the clip-on-style handlebar, twin-pod instrument cluster, rider-only saddle, rear cowl, and twin-sided exhaust system.
In addition to its new look, the All-black variant of Royal Enfield's motorcycles has been updated with new features. The headlight is now an LED unit, replacing the halogen setup found on the standard model.
The switchgear has also been revised. Now, the bike comes with rotary-style switches similar to those found on the Super Meteor 650. Furthermore, a USB charger has been added.
While some features have been updated. The All-black variant still includes a semi-digital instrument cluster and dual-channel ABS, which were present in the standard model.
The hardware on the All-black variant is mostly the same as the standard model. But, 18-inch alloy wheels added in the new black beast that are fitted with tubeless tires. The suspension and braking systems remain unaltered. They are similar as previous, featuring telescopic front forks, twin rear springs, and single disc brakes on both wheels.
The All-black variant of these motorcycles retains the 648cc, air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine. Further, the engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. This engine is tuned to produce 47 bhp at 7,150 rpm and 52 Nm at 5,250 rpm.
Although there is no official information available regarding the launch. But, it is expected that these new models will be available in the market by mid-2023. The updated hardware will impact the ex-showroom prices, and the All-black variants are likely to come with a relatively higher price tag than their standard counterparts.
