Published at September 21, 2024 by BikeJunction

The 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 and V4 S have been revealed as part of Ducati's upcoming launches. According to Ducati, the Multistrada V4 features cosmetic, mechanical, and electronic upgrades and aims to improve the overall driving experience.

Quick Highlights:

Key Features and Updates of the 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4

2025 Multistrada V4
The 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 and V4 S have been unveiled, showcasing significant enhancements in design, chassis, and electronics. Notable updates include a new automatic lowering mono-shock, improved suspension systems, and the introduction of a ‘Wet’ ride mode. With aesthetic upgrades and increased passenger comfort, this model promises an enhanced riding experience.

Modernised Visuals

The Multistrada V4 and V4 S are chock-full of aesthetic updates, especially when it comes to colour application. The base colours extend from the fuel tank to the extensions as well as part of the beak. Head-on, the Multistrada V4 looks aggressive compared to its predecessor.

The radiator shrouds have been done in a deeper shade of silver, and the bold V4 decal has been given a rather prominent presence. Grey and dark tones of black have been used with the double-sided swingarm and some plastic parts for better contrasts in the overall look. The LED headlights have been adjusted for better illumination.

The Multistrada V4 and V4 S are available in Ducati Red, Thrilling Black, and Arctic White.

Upgraded Frame and Electronics

Ducati has significantly altered the chassis and electronics of the new 2025 Multistrada V4 S. To the Skyhook electronic semi-active suspension, a sensor at the front fork and a new mono-shock have now been added. It now comes with the latest Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system, providing real-time suspension adjustment. In real life, the front fork sensor senses road surface roughness and automatically adjusts the rear suspension to give more comfort to the rider as well as the pillion.

A new automatic lowering device sets the rear mono-shock. This device lowers the bike once the speed goes below 10km/h, making it easy to handle in standstill situations. Such as traffic, especially by riders of less stature, who can then firmly position their feet on the ground in case of stopping. This system lowers the bike by up to 30 mm, depending on the load. The bike rises to the predetermined setting when the speed surpasses 50 km/h.

Along with these features, Ducati has included the forward collision warning facility. This feature works by means of a front radar. Forward collision warning has been designed to give an adequate amount of warning to the rider about the collision to take place. It displays a notification on the TFT dashboard in case of an impending collision.

Other chassis developments include an updated swingarm pivot location raised by 1 mm to enable better anti-squat function at hard acceleration, even when fully loaded. The Multistrada V4 S will also be available with new cast-aluminium alloy wheels, which are 2 kg lighter than the equivalent standard alloy wheel versions. The lighter wheels reduce the forces necessary to steer the bike, particularly in tighter turns.

Lastly, the rear brake has been upsized to 280 mm to improve the braking even more so during full loads.

Latest ride mode

The Ducati Multistrada V4 and V4 S are equipped with a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine that churns out 170 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 124 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The bike takes advantage of a new exhaust system that looks sportier than the earlier exhaust system.

The Multistrada V4 has a new ride mode called 'Wet', which comes with the 2025 model update. This mode limits peak power to 115 bhp, slows the throttle response down, and retains the traction control alert and on high alert. The other modes of Sport, Urban, Touring, and Enduro, can also be made operational. Ducati has added the choice of semi-active suspension settings from the ride modes.

Now, the engine gets an extended rear cylinder bank deactivation mode, wherein the rear bank of the cylinders can shut down even at low speed, not merely when the bike comes to a dead halt, as was the case earlier.

Enhanced Passenger Comfort

Due to customer feedback, the rack for the top box and panniers is positioned 20mm further back than before, giving the passenger even more legroom. The top box rack is also made of aluminium instead of hard plastic for rougher fixing.

Availability

The Ducati Multistrada V4 and V4 S, for the year 2025, will be available in the Indian market by the end of the year or in early 2025.

Bajaj Tackles CNG Tank Safety Issues in Freedom 125 CNG Bike
July 6, 2024

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility. How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height. What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot. When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. This safety measure at CNG fuel stations helps prevent accidents in case the CNG cylinder explodes. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the June 2024 FADA two-wheeler sales report. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb                 Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta                 Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
