Bajaj Tackles CNG Tank Safety Issues in Freedom 125 CNG Bike
July 6, 2024

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility. How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height. What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot. When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. This safety measure at CNG fuel stations helps prevent accidents in case the CNG cylinder explodes. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the June 2024 FADA two-wheeler sales report. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb                 Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta                 Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

Four-Cylinder CBR400R: Honda’s Next Big Move?
September 7, 2024

Remurars suggests that Honda is developing a 4-cylinder model of the CBR400R, which could spark interest in smaller-capacity sports motors. As a parallel twin engine powers the contemporary CBR400R, the launch of the four-cylinder version could be consistent with Honda's legacy of 400cc four-cylinder models. Moreover, this may appeal to riders looking for greater power and overall performance inside the 400cc section. The market has recently seen increased interest in Japan, and others have seen it. However, Honda has not made any official announcements. Highlights:- Honda files new patent application- CBR400R Four’ name trademarked According to online reports, it appears that Honda is developing a competitor for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R. The Japanese manufacturer has filed a patent for the name 'CBR400R Four', indicating that a 4-cylinder version of the motorcycle may be under development. Is Honda Developing a Four-Cylinder CBR400R?Honda currently offers the CBR400R in Japan, which has the same 471cc engine as the CBR500R. However, it has a reduced stroke of 399cc to comply with Japanese licensing regulations. Both models are twin-cylinder bikes, named after the newly patented bikes to differentiate them from their existing counterparts. If the four-cylinder CBR400R comes to market, it may also have a more aggressive design than the two-cylinder model. Faux winglets could also make an appearance, as they’ve become a popular trend among smaller bikes lately. Since these winglets are popular among small bikes, they also have advanced features such as adjustable suspension and quick gears. This is expected to make the Kawasaki Ninja competitive with the ZX-4R. Filing a patent does not always guarantee that a company will release a bike under that name. But it might just be one step in keeping the name alive. However, considering Honda's presence in almost every Kawasaki segment and the global success of the Ninja ZX-4R, the concept of a four-cylinder CBR400R seems like a logical move. Before you go, have a look at the Upcoming Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS: What's New.Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb Instagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

Top 5 Tips for Boosting Your Bike's Mileage
September 6, 2024

Having good mileage on your bike is important because it will help increase fuel efficiency, which helps save on fuel costs. Riding a bike for long distances will reduce stopping for refuelling, making it suitable for long-distance travel. Moreover, it is efficient fuel consumption and reduces carbon emissions, making it a more environmentally friendly option.  Additionally, efficient fuel consumption ensures smoother engine performance, extending the life of your motorbike and reducing maintenance costs. Therefore, a motorcycle with good mileage in an area with fluctuating fuel prices provides benefits while riding. In addition, maintaining high mileage is another key to having an efficient bike. Improve Your Bike’s Mileage with These Simple TipsTo get the mileage of your bike, you first need to understand the effects. Many factors can affect your mileage, such as how often you change gears, ride speeds, and fuel efficiency. Moreover, how usually you use the brakes, the types of roads you ride on, and how you maintain your bike and the regular service of the bike.   Here are several ways to help your bike cover better mileage. It is considered one of the best in terms of fuel efficiency.   1. Maintain a steady speed while riding:   Maintaining a consistent speed is an easy way to improve your bike mileage. Constant use of large amounts of fuel and sudden braking can also reduce performance.   Constantly changing your bike's speed can reduce its mileage. To be effective, maintain a constant speed, obey speed limits, and avoid excessive and frequent speeding.   2. Choose high-quality fuel for your bike:   Your body needs food just as much as fuel for your bike. Just as nutrition affects your health, fuel consumption greatly affects your bike's performance and mileage.   The easiest way to improve the mileage of your petrol bike is to use high-quality fuel. Choose authorised fuel stations, which are likely to offer good fuel. This advice also applies to diesel-powered bikes.   3. Maintain proper tyre air pressure:   Just as your lungs need the right amount of air to function properly, your bike tyres need optimum air pressure to function properly and increase mileage.   Remember that low and high tyre pressures can cause problems, especially affecting weak brakes and fuel economy. So make it a habit to fill your bike’s tyres with proper air every time.   4. Turn off your bike when not in use: Many riders leave their bikes running at traffic signals or for short breaks. Although fuel consumption may seem low at idle, frequent stops can accumulate and severely affect fuel efficiency.   Although it’s okay to idle the bike for as short a time as a minute, if you’re going to be stationary for a longer period of time, you need to turn off the engine. This simple process can frequently improve your bike mileage and save you fuel.   5. Schedule regular bike maintenance: Like any machine, your bike needs regular maintenance to keep it running smoothly. Be diligent about making plans and maintaining regular service schedules. Recording and controlling service schedules is critical to the bike’s optimal performance.   Many of us try to maintain our bikes within the first year after buying them, but we need to pay more attention to them as time goes on. Not only does following a regular service schedule maximise your bike’s mileage, but it’s important to identify and address any wear and tear on components to ensure that they are repaired or replaced in a timely manner.   Wrapping Up:To ensure your bike delivers good mileage, follow these steps: maintain a constant speed while riding, use high-quality fuel, check your tyre pressure regularly, turn off your bike at traffic signals and extensive stands, and schedule regular visits with a technician.Curious to know about the Upcoming Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS: What's New.  Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb    Instagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta    Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
