Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility.How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height.What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot.When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. Royal Enfield is developing a new 750cc cafe racer, recently spotted testing in Chennai. The bike features a semi-faired design reminiscent of classic cafe racers. It has clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs for a sporty riding stance. Moreover, the test model showcased a unique Monza-style front fairing and a redesigned fuel tank, distinct from the upcoming 750cc Interceptor. This cafe racer is set to replace the Continental GT 650 and promises a thrilling upgrade. It is built on the same platform as the BSA Gold Star but still differs from the others because of its rugged look, modernised design, and colour scheme. Perfect Mix of Classic Styling and Modern PerformanceThe BSA B65 Scrambler represents proper scrambler styling, with a rough look from each view. The bike has a round LED headlamp with a protective grille, braced handlebars, interesting side panels, and high front and rear fenders. Furthermore, it comes with a single piece of seat, a specific exhaust, and block-patterned tyres. The fuel tank has a tag of the BSA Gold Star and comes with the standard BSA logo and a '65' decal on the side panels for that distinct look.  Additionally, the BSA Scrambler comes with the same single-cylinder, 650cc, liquid-cooled engine of the BSA Gold Star, along with a 45.6PS peak power and 55Nm of torque, matted through a 5-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch. However, the engine may be tuned specifically for the scrambler's identity. It would also sport a bigger rear sprocket to enhance off-road torque.The BSA B65 Scrambler, for instance, has a round digital instrument cluster placed slightly towards the right. The twin-pod analogue cluster on the BSA Gold Star is different. The higher variants may even have smartphone connectivity features. BSA B65 Scrambler will likely feature the same frame as the BSA Gold Star, with some minor adjustments. It comes with a telescopic fork and fork gaiters, along with twin rear shocks. We expect that the suspension system will be slightly longer than that of Gold Star. The bike has disc brakes at both ends, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, with 110-section front and 150-section rear Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres. Expected Launch and Pricing of the BSA B65 ScramblerBSA B65 Scrambler is likely to be released in the UK by December 2024 and could be available in India in early 2025. This variant may offer a premium of Rs 10,000 over the BSA Gold Star variant, priced between Rs 2,99,990 and Rs 3,34,990. The Scrambler will cost between Rs 3.40 lakh and Rs 3.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon the basic Cromwell 1200, the 1200 X is the scrambler variant of the model. This bike comes with a grip pad on the fuel tank, a higher handlebar, and a ribbed seat for better control.  Furthermore, it carries the same 1222cc, two-cylinder engine with 82bhp and 108Nm of torque, along with a six-speed gearbox. Only 100 units will be available, with deliveries starting in January 2025. Brixton Crossfire 500XC Launched in India Launched in India at Rs 5.19 lakh, ex-showroom Brixton Crossfire 500XC will shine in the scrambler variant of the Crossfire 500X. The bike delivers a modern-retro look with a high-set beak fender, stubby visor, headlamp guard, and racing number plate on the side panels.  Furthermore, the bike is powered by a 486cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp and 43Nm of torque mated to a six-speed gearbox. It has dual-purpose tyres, but it runs on 19/17-inch tubeless spoke wheels with fully adjustable KYB suspension. The bike features Bosch dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and a 320mm front disc brake. Brixton Crossfire 500 X Launched at Rs 4.74 Lakh The Crossfire 500 X by Brixton has launched in India at Rs 4.74 lakh (ex-showroom). A road-focussed version of the Crossfire XC scrambler, it is powered by a 486cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 47bhp and 43Nm of torque and mated with a six-speed gearbox.  Additionally, the bike weighs 190kg, and it's lighter than the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
