According to a statement from Yamaha Motor India, the YZF-R15M will go on sale in our market in 2023. The top five features of the motorcycle are listed below for the higher model of the YZF-R15 series, which has been revised for 2023.
For 2023, Yamaha Motor India has upgraded the YZF-R15 version four's M variant with a new colour TFT display. The new display, which functions with a specific smartphone application and benefits from Bluetooth connectivity, is comparable to the unit on the previous iteration. Features like incoming call alerts, SMS and email notifications, and phone battery level are all added via Bluetooth capability. The smartphone software also aids in monitoring fuel usage, offers maintenance advice, remembers where you last parked, and displays problem notifications.
The YZF-R15M now sports full-LED illumination as a result of upgrades to the motorcycle's LED turn indicators and cockpit by Yamaha Motor India. In addition, a single bi-functional LED headlamp with twin-LED DRLS, LED taillight, Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), assist and slipper clutch, traction control system, two ride modes (Track and Street), dual-channel ABS, and a quick-shifter are features that have been carried over from the previous model (upshifts only).
The 2023 Yamaha YZF-R15M continues to use the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC, four-valve, fuel-injected engine with VVA system as its predecessor, with no changes to the mechanical specs. This motor, which is connected to a six-speed gearbox, is calibrated to generate a maximum of 18.1 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm in torque. As previously mentioned, the gearbox includes a quick-shifter as well as an assist clutch and slipper clutch mechanism. Additionally, the 2023 model has an onboard diagnostics (OBD-II) system that continuously analyses the emission levels.
The motorcycle's design is still contemporary, and the look is comparable to its predecessor's. Full-fairing, rear-view mirrors mounted on the fairing, clip-on handlebar, split-style seat, side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels are some of the stylistic components. Unfortunately, only one paint colour is mentioned for the 2023 YZF-R15M: Metallic Grey. The alloy wheels included with this paint choice are blue and have a dual-tone finish.
The hardware from the previous iteration has been kept, much like the design. The motorcycle's frame is a delta box, and the suspension consists of 37mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The safety net is equipped with a dual-channel ABS and traction control system, and the anchoring mechanism consists of a front 282mm single disc and a rear 220mm single rotor. The front and rear tyres on the 17-inch alloy wheels have sections of 100/80 and 140, respectively. Additionally, the rear wheel has radial tyres. The motorcycle weighs 141 kg and has a petrol tank that holds 11 litres (kerb).
Priced at Rs 1,93,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R15M is approximately Rs 12,000 more expensive than the standard model. In the Indian market, the YZF-R15 series competes against models such as the KTM RC125, RC200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and Bajaj Pulsar RS200.

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility. How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height. What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot. When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. This safety measure at CNG fuel stations helps prevent accidents in case the CNG cylinder explodes. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the June 2024 FADA two-wheeler sales report. Features such as knobby tyres, raised exhausts, and ground clearance are for optimum off-road capability. In addition, it is powered by a 650cc twin-cylinder engine for modern performance and reliability. Advanced features of this BSA 650 Scrambler include LED lighting, digital instrumentation, and a combination of retro style with modern practicality. Quick Highlights:BSA 650 Scrambler blends retro and modern design.Powered by a 650cc twin-cylinder engine.Features rugged components for off-road capability.Same platform as the BSA Gold Star.Expected price range: Rs 3.40-3.45 lakh. British motorcycle manufacturer BSA has unveiled a new 650cc Scrambler globally at the 'Motorcycle Live' show in Birmingham, UK. It is built on the same platform as the BSA Gold Star but still differs from the others because of its rugged look, modernised design, and colour scheme. Perfect Mix of Classic Styling and Modern PerformanceThe BSA B65 Scrambler represents proper scrambler styling, with a rough look from each view. The bike has a round LED headlamp with a protective grille, braced handlebars, interesting side panels, and high front and rear fenders. Furthermore, it comes with a single piece of seat, a specific exhaust, and block-patterned tyres. The fuel tank has a tag of the BSA Gold Star and comes with the standard BSA logo and a '65' decal on the side panels for that distinct look. Additionally, the BSA Scrambler comes with the same single-cylinder, 650cc, liquid-cooled engine of the BSA Gold Star, along with a 45.6PS peak power and 55Nm of torque, matted through a 5-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch. However, the engine may be tuned specifically for the scrambler's identity. It would also sport a bigger rear sprocket to enhance off-road torque. The BSA B65 Scrambler, for instance, has a round digital instrument cluster placed slightly towards the right. The twin-pod analogue cluster on the BSA Gold Star is different. The higher variants may even have smartphone connectivity features. BSA B65 Scrambler will likely feature the same frame as the BSA Gold Star, with some minor adjustments. It comes with a telescopic fork and fork gaiters, along with twin rear shocks. We expect that the suspension system will be slightly longer than that of Gold Star. The bike has disc brakes at both ends, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, with 110-section front and 150-section rear Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres. Expected Launch and Pricing of the BSA B65 ScramblerBSA B65 Scrambler is likely to be released in the UK by December 2024 and could be available in India in early 2025. This variant may offer a premium of Rs 10,000 over the BSA Gold Star variant, priced between Rs 2,99,990 and Rs 3,34,990. The Scrambler will cost between Rs 3.40 lakh and Rs 3.45 lakh (ex-showroom). After its launch, it will compete with the Royal Enfield Bear 650.Before you go, have a look at the Top 5 Key Highlights of KTM 890 Duke R Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb Instagram- https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
