Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will be Euro 5 compliance and some major upgrades!The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R supersport launched in Europe with new upgrades and meeting the latest Euro 5 emission standards. The middleweight supersport has undergone a major upgrade than its predecessor. The upgrades include changes in aesthetics, engine and performance. Engine Upgrades in Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RIt appears that Kawasaki has indeed reworked the engine of the bike to comply with the Euro 5 emission standards. The updated engine of Kawasaki produces 126.2bhp of power at 13,000rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 10,800rpm. Notably, it generates a peak torque of 200 rpm lower in the rev range compared to the previous version.The adjustments made to meet emissions standards can sometimes result in slight reductions in power and torque compared to previous versions. The 2024 middleweight supersport offers 2bhp less power and 1.8Nm less torque than the older version.Features of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RThe total weight of the new Kawasaki model is 198 kg. The weight has undergone an increase of 2 kg compared to the previous version. The suspension components remain the same, with the bike featuring the Showa Separate Function Big Piston fork and Un-Trak mono-shock. The braking system is sourced from Nissin, and the new model retains the same alloy wheels. However, Kawasaki has replaced the Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tires with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires.The 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R showcases several updates in terms of its aesthetics and technology. The new model features more aggressive styling compared to its predecessor. It boasts reworked dual LED headlights that align with the current-generation ZX-10R.In terms of instrumentation, the revamped ZX-6R now sports an all-new 4.3-inch colour TFT display. This replaces the previous digi-analogue unit, providing a more advanced and customisable interface. The TFT dash also incorporates Bluetooth connectivity, enabling riders to receive notifications and navigation updates.The motorcycle offers four riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider, with the latter being customisable to suit individual preferences. Two power modes are available, Full and Low, allowing riders to adjust the power delivery. The bike also features a three-level traction control system, enhancing safety and control.Prices of Kawasaki ZX-6RKawasaki has not yet disclosed the official confirmation or announcement regarding its availability in India. The expected ex-showroom price in the Indian market is approximately Rs 12 lakh. In the UK, it appears that the new ZX-6R will be available from October 2023, offering two colour options: conventional green and option in Metallic Graphite Grey and Metallic Diablo Black.
