Ducati has launched its Diavel V4 at an expensive Rs. 25.91 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) in India. However, some aspects of the power cruiser are upgraded over its predecessor. Several new components are also being added to the bike.
The bike has a new 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine producing 168 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 126 Nm at 7500 rpm. Additionally, the valve check clearance interval of the bike is 60,000 km providing relief to potential buyers. It is much longer than the previous generation model powered by a L-twin Testastretta engine. The component functions as a structured element of the new monocoque aluminium frame.
The bike's hardware comprises 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels wrapped in Diablo Rosso III tyres. The suspension system is managed by premium 50mm upside-down forks at the front, skillfully crafted by Marzocchi. It is complemented by a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear.
As for the braking system, the setup boasts dual 330mm discs with Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers for the front. However, the rear features a single-disc configuration.
The Ducati Diavel V4 showcases electronic innovation alongside its cutting-edge hardware. A 5-inch TFT screen takes centre stage, displaying a comprehensive array of riding aids' features. It includes power and riding modes. They utilise a 6-axis IMU that manages cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, power launch, quick-shifter, and cruise control functionalities.
Furthermore, Ducati has updated the design, providing the Diavel with even more commanding bodywork. There are two captivating colour options available that are Ducati Red and Thrilling Black.
