Royal Enfield Bear 650 is the latest addition to Royal Enfield's 650cc lineup. With its scrambler design and several new features, the Bear 650 promises to offer an exciting ride for both road and light off-road enthusiasts. Here are the top five highlights of this new motorcycle.
Royal Enfield Bear 650 features a scrambler-type design that sets it apart from its sibling, the Interceptor 650. Though it shares the fuel tank with the Interceptor, the Bear has unique styling elements. The seat is designed with a slightly raised rear, which gives it a sporty and rugged look.
Furthermore, the side panels feature number plates that add to its off-road character. The biggest visual change is the two-into-one exhaust system, which is a first in Royal Enfield’s 650cc range. It gives the bike a distinctive appearance and contributes to its identity as a scrambler.
The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is available in five attractive colour options. These colours give riders a variety of styles to choose from classic to more vibrant looks.
The Bear 650 is powered by Royal Enfield's proven 648cc parallel-twin engine. This engine produces 46.8 bhp of power, similar to the Interceptor. However, the Bear gets a slight increase in torque, delivering 56.5 Nm. This gives the Bear more punch, especially at lower speeds.
The new two-into-one exhaust system changes the look and helps reduce the bike's weight. The engine is paired with a smooth six-speed gearbox. This makes it a great performer on both highways and rough terrain.
RE Bear 650 scrambler has loaded-up its body with more modern technology to enhance convenience and safety. The bike features a full-colour, 4-inch TFT display showing ride data at-a-glance. The digital dash further avails connectivity and Google Maps navigation to ensure easy access of directions as well as connectivity to the riders.
The handlebar also has a USB Type-C charging port where the riders can charge their mobiles on the go. LEDs for the headlamp, taillight, and indicators provide illumination no matter how low the lighting conditions are. The rear ABS can be switched off during off-road riding so that riders have full control over tricky situations.
This Royal Enfield bike stands out with high-quality components. The front suspension consists of Showa USD (upside-down) forks with 130mm of travel, which provides better handling on uneven roads. The rear has twin shocks that offer a comfortable ride over bumps. The Bear 650 rides on spoked wheels, with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, fitted with MRF Nylorex block-pattern tyres. Furthermore, It has a larger 320mm front disc and a 270mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
