Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility.How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height.What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot.When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. Royal Enfield is developing a new 750cc cafe racer, recently spotted testing in Chennai. The bike features a semi-faired design reminiscent of classic cafe racers. It has clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs for a sporty riding stance. Moreover, the test model showcased a unique Monza-style front fairing and a redesigned fuel tank, distinct from the upcoming 750cc Interceptor. This cafe racer is set to replace the Continental GT 650 and promises a thrilling upgrade. The new 750cc parallel-twin engine could deliver 5-7bhp more than the 47bhp of the current 648cc engine. This model is expected to debut in 2026-27. Enhanced Features and HardwareThe test bike features dual front disc brakes, a first for Royal Enfield. It ensures superior braking power. Alloy wheels, likely 18 inches in size, and traditional telescopic forks add to the performance-focused setup. While upside-down forks might feature in the production model, the test mule had twin coiled shock absorbers at the rear.  Furthermore, it includes chrome-finished indicators, blacked-out twin exhausts, and a single-pod digital display, possibly a TFT dash. The cafe racer also borrows a round underseat panel from the Bear 650, Royal Enfield's recent launch. 750cc Line-Up on the HorizonRoyal Enfield is planning multiple models with the new 750cc engine, including an Interceptor. These bikes are expected to be the most powerful in the brand’s line-up. They can generate a lot of buzz around the prospect of launching at EICMA in 2025 or Motorverse events. Kawasaki has offered a discount of Rs. 1.14 lakh on the Ninja ZX-10R, which is now priced at Rs. 17.34 lakh ex-showroom. The 2025 model was launched in September 2024 for Rs. 17.13 lakh, but within a month, it was priced at Rs. 18.50 lakh.  This raised its price to the level of the BMW S 1000 RR, thereby reducing its value-for-money appeal. However, the same product is now available at Rs. 17.34 lakh. Earlier priced was pushed way closer in price to the standard BMW S 1000 RR, thus reducing the value-for-money appeal that the ZX-10R is known for. In response, the Japanese brand has quoted a reduction of Rs. 1.14 lakh in the price of the supersport model. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has a 998cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four-cylinder engine. Further, the engine delivers 200bhp at 13,200rpm (210bhp with RAM Air intake at 13,200rpm) and 114.9Nm of torque at 11,400 rpm. A six-speed gearbox is fitted, and a bidirectional quick-shifter comes as standard. Other features include a TFT display with smartphone connectivity, multi-riding modes, dual-channel ABS, cruise control, launch control, engine brake control, and traction control. Moreover, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R suspension consists of Showa BFF forks and a Showa BFRC rear monoshock. The bike is fitted with dual 330mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc for braking, along with dual-channel ABS.
