Bajaj-Triumph Bikes Finally Making A Global Debut Soon!

Published at April 11, 2023 by BikeJunction

Over 6 years ago, in 2017, Bajaj & Triumph made headlines after announcing that they were forming a non-equity partnership to co-produce mid-capacity bikes. But went quiescent for 3 years following the announcement. Finally, in 2020, they broke their silence and shared more details about their future plans together. And then came the pandemic, putting their plans on further hold.

Now, after 3 years of waiting, we are finally witnessing their co-produced bikes for the first time since 2017. We have encountered multiple spy shots that have emerged over the past few months. The spy shots have revealed a few bikes that sport modern-retro designs both in Scrambler and Roadster forms. In addition, rumours are circulating that the companies will create new platforms based on 2 different engine capacities. However, exact specifications are yet to be revealed.

In 2020, when Bajaj first talked about their future plans in the country, it revealed that the partnership would debut with a 200cc bike with a price of not more than Rs 2 lakhs. However, with inflation, that might change. The bikes, by their partnership, will be giving tough competition to the current market leader - Royal Enfield. And so, them coming out with a 350 cc bike won’t be a surprise either.

The launch might not be as far as you think, especially with the recent update that Bajaj has entirely taken over Triumph’s Indian operations. So, it is likely that the companies will begin the sales during the festive season this year

Stay tuned with us to get further updates on Bajaj & Triumph’s co-produced motorcycles. Until then, don’t forget to explore the top 5 highlights of the 2023 Yamaha Aerox 155.

Bajaj Tackles CNG Tank Safety Issues in Freedom 125 CNG Bike
July 6, 2024

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility. How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height. What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot. When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. This safety measure at CNG fuel stations helps prevent accidents in case the CNG cylinder explodes. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the June 2024 FADA two-wheeler sales report. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb                 Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta                 Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

This Classic 350-based bobber will come in four colour options: Purple Haze, Rave Red, Shack Black, and Trip Teal. Exploring the Unique Design and Features of the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Notably, the Purple Haze colour seems rather simplistic, but the other paint schemes bring extra flair to this motorcycle. Riders favourite is the triple-tone Rave Red, which involves red, black, and white for an outstanding appearance. Shack Black is suitable for an understated, stealthy look decorated with golden accents on a black base. The Trip Teal shade stands out with its bold combination of blue and orange, creating a vibrant, eye-catching effect. Conceived with the inspiration of Goan custom bike culture, it comes with a tall ape hanger handlebar, a single-piece saddle with a chopped rear fender, and white-wall tyres. It remains the only bike in its class to be supplied with tubeless spoke wheels (19/16-inch). The other cycle parts and underpinnings, however, remain similar to the Classic 350, thereby maintaining its characteristic style and performance. Performance and Pricing: Powering the Goan Classic 350 The  Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is powered by a 349cc, air-cooled engine that produces 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. November 26, 2024

The Royal Enfield FT450 is a custom-built flat tracker designed for thrilling dirt racing. Based on the Guerrilla 450, this bike is purposefully crafted for Royal Enfield's Slide School flat-track events. It features a retro-inspired design, minimal bodywork, and specialized modifications for maximum control and performance. Let’s explore its design and features through this detailed image gallery. Custom Flat Tracker Design: Front ViewThe bike in the first image showcases its minimal and retro flat tracker design. It is built for flat-track racing. Moreover, the wide handlebar and simple number plate give it a racing vibe. This minimal front cowl replaces any headlamp, which enhances its purpose-built aesthetics.  Side Profile: Sleek Body and Tail DesignThe second image shows the side profile of this custom-built flat tracker. The sleek bodywork and slim tail section give it a sporty, aerodynamic look.  Furthermore, the racing number is boldly displayed. The seat is flat, offering a comfortable riding position ideal for sliding on tracks. Its sturdy frame seems perfect for high-speed performance in dirt conditions. Focus on Front & Rear WheelsThe third image highlights the front wheel and suspension, which are designed for maximum control. This Royal Enfield bike has dual-purpose tyres, which offer excellent grip on dirt. Its spoke wheels enhance durability and match the retro theme. Unlike regular bikes, this tracker doesn't have a front brake, typical for flat-track racing. The telescopic forks appear solid, ensuring a smooth and stable ride on bumpy tracks.  Custom Exhaust and Engine SetupThe exhaust system in the final image looks unique and performance-focused. This custom exhaust improves power and gives a louder, sportier sound. The bike is likely powered by a mid-range engine. The exhaust positioning also adds to the bike's lean, clean profile. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the recently launched RE Goan Classic 350 bike.Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
