Bajaj Tackles CNG Tank Safety Issues in Freedom 125 CNG Bike
July 6, 2024

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It is the world's first CNG bike, and many customers might worry about the safety of having a CNG tank on a bike. Every year, many CNG cars fail, and bikes are more exposed than cars. Bajaj assures that the bike has been thoroughly tested for safety. The manufacturer says the bike has passed 11 different crash and impact tests at their test facility. How Bajaj Tested the New Freedom 125 CNG Bike Bajaj tested the bike from different angles. In the Front Collision Test, the Freedom 125 CNG bike crashed into a 1.5-ton moving barrier at a speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the company also did a Truck Runover Test, where a 10-ton truck was driven over the CNG bike. This test simulates a situation where the rider falls off and the bike gets run over by a truck. In both the Front Collision Test and the Truck Runover Test, the bike handled the impacts well. The CNG tank stayed in place, kept its shape, and did not leak.Bajaj also performed nine other tests: a Frontal Pendulum Test, a Rear Impact Test, a Left Side Impact Test, a Right Side Impact Test, a Vertical Drop Test, a 50kg Filling Unit Strength Test, two types of CNG Valve Impact Tests (to see if the valve breaks on impact), and a 20G Pull Out Test. Impact tests involved hitting the bike with a moving barrier, while drop tests involved dropping the bike from a height. What is Bajaj Providing in Freedom 125 CNG Bike?Bajaj designed the trellis frame and subframe to keep the CNG cylinder safe. These frames act like cages to protect the cylinder from damage in a crash. The engine is also placed away from the CNG cylinder, so the heat from the engine doesn’t affect the CNG tank. This is important because the CNG tank holds pressurized gas, which can expand when it gets hot. When filling the CNG tank, you need to get off the bike and stand at least 5 feet away. This safety measure at CNG fuel stations helps prevent accidents in case the CNG cylinder explodes. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the June 2024 FADA two-wheeler sales report. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb                 Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta                 Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

Hero XPulse 200 4V vs XPulse 210: Buy Now or Wait for the Upgrade?
November 23, 2024

At the 2024 EICMA event, Hero revealed the most-awaited upcoming Xpulse 210 bike. Hero plans to unveil this bike in early 2025 at its World Event in Jaipur. Moreover, the 200 4V from Hero is still a great choice for off-roading and adventures. Let’s compare these bikes:  Design & AestheticsThe upcoming XPulse 210 features a bold design with a sharper and more off-road-focused look. It retains the familiar raised fender, slim body, and elevated flyscreen but adds a sculpted fuel tank and an enduro-style tail section. The XPulse 200 4V, while rugged, has hints of commuter design. The 210’s styling clearly steps away to focus on serious adventure riders. Both bikes have wire-spoke wheels, a tall-set exhaust, and a wind deflector. However, the XPulse 210 stands out with its more aggressive stance. Engine and PerformanceThe XPulse 210 is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 24.46 bhp and 20.7 Nm of torque. Considering this with respect to the XPulse 200 4V engine of 199.6cc producing 18.91 bhp and 17.35 Nm of torque is quite an improvement. Apart from that, it has got a crucial upgrade in the form of a 6-speed gearbox. The XPulse 200 4V still features a 5-speed gearbox, making the 210 a better choice for longer rides and challenging terrains. Features & Technology Hero XPulse 210 debuts a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster with superior visibility and enhanced functionality. It is expected to support smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and advanced features. In return, the XPulse 200 4V gets a more minimalistic LCD console with continued Bluetooth pairing for turn-by-turn navigation and notification support. The dual-channel ABS is standard on both motorcycles; rear ABS can be switched off for some fun off-roading. The 210 ups the game with its advanced display and enhanced braking system. Suspension and BrakingHero XPulse 210 is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front, and at the rear, a monoshock suspension. These upgrades mean it should ride over off-road terrain smoother than its XPulse 200 4V siblings, whose suspension is slightly less advanced. Both bikes feature disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. The 210’s refined hardware enhances overall stability and confidence for adventurous rides. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the recently unveiled Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350.Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter

Royal Enfield delays Classic 650 Twin launch to early 2025
November 22, 2024

The long-awaited Classic 650 Twin has been delayed to early 2025, the company announced. It is set to arrive instead in 2025 with a 648 cc parallel-twin engine that promises more performance and smoothness over the currently available single-cylinder versions. Further fine-tuning of the motorcycle's design and features will finally allow it to see life in early 2025. The Classic 650 Twin is sure to take on the domination of best-selling middleweights with a combination of retro looks and all-new upgrades. Quick Highlights:Classic 650 Twin launch delayed to 2025.Goan Classic 350 debut at Motoverse 2024.Classic 650 Twin engine: 648cc parallel-twin.Classic 650 Twin priced below Super Meteor.350cc models dominate Royal Enfield’s sales.Royal Enfield is set to launch the Classic 650 Twin in India early next year, although rumours suggested it would debut at Motoverse 2024. Royal Enfield's Strategic Launch Plans: Goan Classic 350 and Classic 650 TwinIt appears that the company is focusing more on the launch of the Goan Classic 350, which may appeal to a much larger audience. Additionally, 350cc motorcycles typically outperform 650cc models in sales, so it makes sense to postpone the launches. The 650cc platform is more popular in Europe and the US, where people tend to buy high-performance motorcycles. However, in India, the same does not apply, and sales are led by Royal Enfield's 350cc portfolio since it offers more value for money. The Goan version of the Classic 350 will have tubeless spoke wheels, which is likely to cost the most among all the other variants in the portfolio. Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin will probably sit between the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650. However, the top-of-the-line version of the Classic 650 will be as costly as the base model of the Super Meteor 650. Before you go, have a look at the Brixton Storr 500 to Launch in India by Early 2025Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
