Ampere, the subsidiary of Greaves Electric Mobility, has announced a significant discount on its electric scooters in India. The company has reduced the price of their EVs by Rs. 10,000. The new affordable scooter is becoming affordable, with the Rio Li Plus entry-level now priced at Rs. 59,900 (down from Rs. 69,900).The Magnus EX and LT variants have also come down, with the EX model now priced at Rs. 94,900 (less than Rs. 10,000). Also, the current LT variant is priced at Rs. 84,900 (less Rs. 9,000). However, the recently announced Ampere Nexus remains at its original price. The discounts are aimed at boosting sales amid increasing competition in the electric vehicle market. You don't need a driving license to ride it. The scooter uses a 1.3kWh removable lithium-ion battery. This battery lets the scooter go up to 70 km on a full charge, which takes about 5-6 hours to complete. The Reo Li Plus can reach a top speed of 25 kmph. It can carry up to 120 kg and features 10-inch wheels with telescopic forks and dual springs for suspension. Moreover, you have options to choose between red, orange, blue, and yellow colours.Ampere Nexus: Brand’s Latest Electric Scooter  Ampere Nexus is a new premium electric scooter available in two models: EX and ST. It has a 4kW motor that allows a top speed of 93kmph in Power mode, 63kmph in City mode, and 42kmph in Eco mode. The scooter also features a Reverse mode and Limp Home mode for low battery. It has a 3kWh LFP battery with a range of 136km and takes 3 hours and 20 minutes to charge fully. Greaves Electric Mobility's Ampere brand has launched its first premium electric scooter, the Ampere Nexus. Ampere Nexus Price starts at Rs 1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in two variants: EX and ST. The higher-spec ST variant is priced at Rs 1.20 Lakh in India. Moreover, this electric scooter is now available in four different colour schemes, including Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey. The Ampere electric scooter is not eligible for central subsidies under the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS). It will initially be sold at the introductory prices mentioned above, but these prices will go up by Rs 10,000 once the introductory period ends. The Nexus is more feature-rich compared to the Primus model, which it replaces in the Ampere lineup. It gives tough competition to the Ather Rizta, Hero Vida V1 Pro and Bajaj Chetak. Ampere Nexus bookings are now open, and deliveries are expected to start in the second half of May.Ampere Nexus Feature: What’s New?  Ampere Nexus electric scooter has some cool features. It has a special LED headlight with DRLs, turn indicators on the front, and an LED rear light. This motor is rated IP67, meaning it's protected against dust and water. It can produce a peak power of 4kW, allowing the scooter to reach a top speed of 93 kmph. Regarding Ampere Nexus Battery & Charging, it runs on a 3kWh battery and takes about 3.3 hours to charge fully. Also, it offers a range of 136 km after charging it full. The scooter has a strong steel frame with a combination of cast and tubular swingarm. Moreover, the Ampere Nexus features a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. This electric scooter has a disc brake in the front and a drum brake at the back.
