Ampere EV has started delivering its new Nexus electric scooter in India. The deliveries have began in Bengaluru in the first week of June 2024 and will continue across the country in stages throughout the month. This EV scooter was launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).  Ampere Nexus bookings began in May 2024 with a token amount of Rs 9,999. It is designed as a high-performance family scooter. It comes in two variants: Nexus EX and Nexus ST. Moreover, this scooter is available in four colour options, including Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey.   Ampere Nexus Specifications  Ampere Nexus electric scooter has a 3kWh LFP battery. It offers a certified range of 136 km. Moreover, it is powered by a mid-mounted motor with a peak output of 4kWh. This Ampere electric scooter has a top speed of 93 kmph. Furthermore, the battery takes 3.3 hours to charge, and a fast-charging option is available to reduce this time.  The Nexus has a steel frame with a hybrid cast and tubular swingarm. It features a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear for a comfortable ride. Moreover, it has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. This electric scooter comes with 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. These specifications make the Nexus a strong contender in the family electric scooter market.  Ampere Neuxus Features Ampere Nexus electric scooter comes with all LED lights. The EX variant has a 6.2-inch LCD display with basic smartphone connectivity. The ST variant features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, and Call/SMS alerts. Both variants have auto day/night display modes.  Moreover, this electric scooter offers 5 ride modes, including Eco, City, Power, Limp Home, and Reverse. Ampere, the subsidiary of Greaves Electric Mobility, has announced a significant discount on its electric scooters in India. The company has reduced the price of their EVs by Rs. 10,000. The new affordable scooter is becoming affordable, with the Rio Li Plus entry-level now priced at Rs. 59,900 (down from Rs. 69,900).The Magnus EX and LT variants have also come down, with the EX model now priced at Rs. 94,900 (less than Rs. 10,000). Also, the current LT variant is priced at Rs. 84,900 (less Rs. 9,000). However, the recently announced Ampere Nexus remains at its original price. The discounts are aimed at boosting sales amid increasing competition in the electric vehicle market. You don't need a driving license to ride it. The scooter uses a 1.3kWh removable lithium-ion battery. This battery lets the scooter go up to 70 km on a full charge, which takes about 5-6 hours to complete. The Reo Li Plus can reach a top speed of 25 kmph. It can carry up to 120 kg and features 10-inch wheels with telescopic forks and dual springs for suspension. Moreover, you have options to choose between red, orange, blue, and yellow colours.Ampere Nexus: Brand’s Latest Electric Scooter  Ampere Nexus is a new premium electric scooter available in two models: EX and ST. It has a 4kW motor that allows a top speed of 93kmph in Power mode, 63kmph in City mode, and 42kmph in Eco mode. The scooter also features a Reverse mode and Limp Home mode for low battery. It has a 3kWh LFP battery with a range of 136km and takes 3 hours and 20 minutes to charge fully.
