The results of the prestigious and latest Indian Motorcycle of the Year competition have been announced. Ten motorcycles were among the jury that filtered out three names and only one bag in the IMOTY award. IMOTY is the highest accolade a motorcycle can receive in the country. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has won the coveted Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2023 title.

The shortlist included 10 contenders, including the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, TVS Ronin, Bajaj Pulsar N160, KTM RC 390, Yezdi Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX, Yezdi Scrambler, Triumph Tiger 660, Honda CB300F and BMW G 310. RR.

A group of experienced automotive journalists from various publications and online media is responsible for choosing the winner. Applicants are judged on their value, fuel efficiency, performance, comfort, practicality, design, technology and suitability for Indian roads and driving conditions.

The IMOTY 2023 jury comprises 15 leading motorcycle journalists from various publications. Along with OVERDRIVE Editor Bertrand D'Souza and Associate Editor Rohit Paradkar, the jury team includes Pratek Kunder, Associate Editor of BikeWale; Rahul Ghosh, Associate Editor of Auto Today; Dipayan Datta, Senior Special Correspondent for Auto Today; Shivank Bhatt, road test editor, AutoX; Aspi Bhatena, editor of Bike India and Car India magazine; Sirish Chandran, Editor-in-Chief of Evo India, Fast Bikes India and Motor Sport India; Aatish Mishra, Assistant Editor-in-Chief, Evo India; Karthik Ware, managing editor of Motoring World magazine; Janak Sorap, writer, Motoring World; Kranti Sambhav, editor and presenter of Times Drive; Abhay Verma, editor and publisher of TurboCharged; Druv Paliwal, Senior Correspondent, AutoX; and Joshua Varghese, Senior Correspondent Bike India.

Just like last year, IMOTY 2023 was held at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. And this year, JK Tire sponsored IMOTY. At the same time, Deloitte is the media partner and AJAI (Automotive Journalists Association of India) is the custodian of the IMOTY 2023 awards. Agency members collect the scorecards from the jury., calculate the points and maintain the strictest secrecy by handing out an envelope with the winner's name only on the night of the awards ceremony.
The 2023 Indian Motorcycle of the Year award went to the MD of Royal Enfield, Siddhartha Lal, for the Hunter 350.
