Royal Enfield Guerrilla Teased: To Be Launched on 17 July

Royal Enfield has officially teased its new 450cc roadster called the 'Guerrilla.' This motorcycle will make its global debut on 17 July 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. The Guerrilla is based on the same platform as the new-gen Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Moreover, Royal Enfield Guerrilla spy shots have been circulating for almost two years.

Recently, teaser images have revealed many visual details of the upcoming roadster. The Guerrilla marks Royal Enfield’s entry into the 400-500cc roadster segment. Siddharth Lal, Managing Director of Eicher Motors (Royal Enfield's parent company), and CEO Govindarajan Balakrishnan have shared images of themselves riding the bike. This new model signifies a major step for Royal Enfield in expanding its motorcycle lineup.

Furthermore, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 price is expected to be cheaper than the Himalayan 450. It will cost between Rs 2.30 Lakh and 2.40 lakh.

Expected Looks & Technologies

The upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 combines elements from the Hunter 350 and the Himalayan 450. At the front, it has a round headlight mounted on a triple clamp, fork covers, and a rounded fuel tank similar to the Hunter 350. However, the fuel tank has an offset fuel cap. The rear features a sleek tail section, a single-piece seat, slim tail light, indicators, and an exhaust like the Himalayan 450.

For technology, it might have a part-digital LCD or a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, similar to the Himalayan. Moreover, the expected features include Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights, LED indicators, multiple ride modes, and a USB charging port.

Expected Performance

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will have the same 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the Himalayan 450. This engine produces 39 bhp @ 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm in the Himalayan. The Guerrilla 450 might have a slightly different tuning. It will use a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

The bike will likely have 17-inch alloy wheels with block pattern tyres, similar to the Hunter 350, giving it a compact look. It will feature telescopic front forks and a preload adjustable rear monoshock. Moreover, it will come with disc brakes at both the front and rear.
