Ola Electric, one of India's largest manufacturers of two-wheel electric vehicles, has released its sales data for December 2022. The company managed to sell more than 25,000 electric scooters last month. It's also worth noting that Ola's total sales for the calendar year 2022 are over 1.50 million units.
Ola claims it had a 30 per cent market share in the electric two-wheeler segment last month. Further, the plan of the company is to expand enormously, and it is in the process of expanding, with 100 experience centres already operating across the country, with 100 more to come by the end of March 2023.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO of Ola Electric, said: "2022 has proven to be a watershed year for India to become a global electric vehicle hub. As a company, we at Ola are committed to Mission Electric and have been able to drive the adoption and penetration of electric vehicles across the country."
Further, he extended his statement by adding, "Ola is now the largest and fastest growing electric vehicle company in the country. If last year we showed the true potential of the Indian EV market, next year is poised to open the gateways to EVs in the country."
Ola recently launched the Move OS 3.0 software update for its electric scooters. This OTA update adds many features to the S1 and S1 Pro, such as hyper-charging, Bluetooth calling, party mode, riding mood, advanced regeneration, proximity lock/unlock, hill hold control, etc.
