Hero MotoCorp is gearing up for the next launch of their adventure bike boasting a larger engine. This larger engine will be similar to the engine powering the upcoming Harley-Davidson bikes in India. The rumours suggest that this new Hero 420cc bike could carry the Xpulse 420 name. However, the company is yet to make any official statement on the same.
Spy shots have recently surfaced online, and rendering artist Pratyush Rout has made a 3D image of what the bike could look like.
The name of the bike combines the existing Xpulse model line and the (rumoured) 420cc engine that was co-produced with Harley-Davidson. This engine will be installed initially in the upcoming single-cylinder Roadster from Harley-Davidson.
The rendering of the 2024 Xpulse 420 appears much more robust than the slender Xpulse 200. It receives a bikini fairing that seamlessly blends into the fuel tank. A pointed beak is neatly fitted into its fairing. A windscreen lies underneath a sleek LED headlight. This windscreen's height may also be adjustable to accommodate riders of different heights.
A scooped-out rider’s seat should create a (relatively) lower seat height. There is also a pillion seat with a little rise. Moreover, the luggage rack at the end of the rear subframe serves as both a grab rail and a luggage rack. A substantial up-swept exhaust will provide respectable water-wading performance. The red-painted tubular frame provides a sporty touch.
On test mules, the Hero Xpulse 420 is equipped with USD front forks. The motorcycle's front fenders and fork covers blend together nicely. Wheels with wire spokes might be 21" up front and 18" behind. We wish Hero would provide larger, tubeless Xpulse tyres with the production model.
As with the Xpulse 200, the business has branded the Xpulse 420's gasoline tank with the Hero logo and its side body panels with the Xpulse 420 logo. The colour options given by Xpulse 420 are identical to those of Xpulse 200. The matte versions of the Xpulse 200 4V are Matte Nexus Blue, Polestar Blue, & Sports Red combinations, and the Xpulse 200 2 V's Matte Green, Panther Black, White, and Matte Grey. 2024 Hero Xpulse 420 may be aggressively priced around Rs 3-4 lakh when launched in the market.
