Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 will be held from today to 22nd January, and the first product to come out during this period is the Yamaha Lander 250. It has been showcased this early morning. Although the bike has been seen in India, it is only available for purchase in Brazil for now. Yamaha has not stated when it plans to introduce the Lander here. However, before deciding to launch the Lander, they could first watch how the market responds or how similar motorcycles perform. Let’s check out what the Japanese dual sport has to offer, which is as follows: What does it Offer?The Lander 250 is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine that produces 20.5bhp of power and 20.6Nm of torque. Additionally, it is connected to a five-speed gearbox and placed on a double-cradle frame. Considering its pricing, if it launches in India, then it would be between Rs. 1.9 lakh to Rs. 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The setup is supported by a monoshock with 204mm travel and telescopic front forks with 220mm travel. The Lander 250 is equipped with single-channel ABS with disc brakes on both ends. Moreover, Yamaha has fitted an LCD in the bike that offers smartphone connectivity. Design and ColoursThe centre-set projector LED headlamp is one of the modern touches that give the Yamaha Lander 250 a functional design. Large extensions for the fuel tank, a single-piece exhaust with an upswept exhaust, and a tall front fender are further features. Adventure bikes have been popular this season, and multiple launches in a variety of markets have occurred throughout the past 18 months. Since there will be several launches in 2025, the numbers should increase.The 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo will be the first platform of the year and is only a few days away. Here is a list of adventure bikes that will probably be on display at the exhibition. Expected Bikes to Display at the ExhibitionA range of adventure bikes are anticipated to be on display during the Exhibition, which is quickly approaching. Companies like BMW, Yamaha, Hero MotoCorp, and TVS are preparing to unveil their newest adventure-ready motorcycles. Let's examine a few of them in more detail: BMW R1300 GS AdventureThe highly acclaimed R 1250 GS will be replaced by the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, which will be on display at the Expo. The 1,300cc, boxer-twin, liquid-cooled engine of the BMW R 1300 GS generates 145.48PS at 7,750 rpm and 149Nm at 6,500 rpm. Additionally, it comes with a huge 30-litre fuel tank instead of the ordinary R 1300 GS's 19-litre one.  You can expect exceptional comfort, remarkable off-road capabilities, and long-distance touring ability from this flagship bike due to technologies like dynamic traction control and adaptable suspension. Yamaha Tenere 700In the adventure motorbike market, the Yamaha Tenere 700 has been making waves, and it will be present at the Bharat Mobility Expo. With a 689cc parallel-twin engine that produces 73PS and 68Nm, it is renowned for its dependability and off-road capability. With the switchable ABS, 240mm of ground clearance, and long-travel suspension, it is designed for hardcore off-road and adventure riders. TVS Apache RTX 300In a short time, TVS will make its debut in the adventure motorbike industry. The company has been testing their first adventure bike since revealing its new 500cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine at TVS MotoSoul. The Apache RTX 300 is going to have an ADV style, which includes an upright riding position and a big windscreen. With a design influenced by the Hero MotoSport Rally team's participation, it looks to be a strong competitor in the adventure bike market. A 421cc single-cylinder engine that can generate between 40 and 45 PS will power it. Hero Xpulse 210The Xpulse 210 is the final bike on the list. It was first exhibited at EICMA and keeps the general look of the XPulse 200 4V. But it has a new engine—the 210cc, liquid-cooled Karizma XMR 210 engine. Moreover, this engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and produces 24.8 PS and 20.4 Nm. This resulted in a 17.64% decrease in YoY growth. Moreover, a 54.21% degrowth in MoM sales is seen, as in November 2024, sales figures were 2,615,953 units.OEM-wise Market Share Data for December 2024 with YoY %2-Wheeler OEMs Sales Figures & Market Share in December 2024Hero MotoCorp LTD sold the most two-wheelers in December 2024, with 328,634 units. This is a 29.22% decrease from the 464,308 units they sold in December 2023. Moreover, their market share declined by 14.06%. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India came in second, selling 316,356 units in December 2024. This is an 8.34% decline from the 345,128 units they sold in December 2023. However, their market share increased by 11.30%. TVS Motor Company Ltd. was third, selling 212,899 units in December 2024 compared to 233,398 units sold in December 2023. Their sales declined by 8.78%, but their market share increased by 10.76%. Bajaj Auto Ltd.'s sales declined by 23.74% to 139,125 units in December 2024, compared to 182,443 two-wheelers last year. Moreover, its market share dropped slightly to 7.41%. Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed a 5.62% YoY degrowth, with 62,788 units sold in December 2024, compared to 66,530 in December 2023. Suzuki’s market share increased to 14.60%. Royal Enfield motorcycles experienced a 3.64% degrowth in sales, with 54,024 units sold in December 2024, down from 56,063 last year. Its market share increased to 17.01%. Yamaha India sold 41,651 units in December 2024, which is a 13.84% decline from 48,344 units in December 2023. However, their market share increased to 4.61%.  In December 2024, Ola Electric reported total sales of 13,771, a decline of 54.80% compared to December 2023 sales of 30,470 units. Moreover, the company also experienced a degrowth of 45.12% in the market share.  Ather Energy Pvt Ltd sold 10,431 units in December 2024. For comparison, the company registered sales of 6,553 units in December 2023, reporting a whopping increase of 59.18%.Moreover, on the market share front, the company also experienced a rise of 93.28% this month. Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd clocked in a total sales unit of 2,794 in December 2024, as compared to 2,977 units sold in December 2023. Due to this, the company saw a degrowth of 6.15% this month. Apart from this, the company experienced an increase in its market share by 10.54% for December 2024.  Classic Legends, which offers retro-style motorcycles, sold 2,341 units in December 2024. This represents a 7.25% drop from the 2,524 units sold in December 2023. Their market share increased to 12.62%. Piaggio sold 2,228 units in December 2024, a 26.03% decrease from the 3,012 units sold in December 2023. The company’s market share also dropped slightly to 10.18%.The "Others Including EV" category showed a decline of 15.10% YoY, with sales of 10,700 units, compared to 12,603 in December 2023. 2-Wheeler Sales Figures in CY 24The two-wheeler industry in India witnessed strong growth in CY'24, with a total sales of 18,912,959 units, marking a 10.78% year-on-year increase from CY'23. Hero MotoCorp retained its market leadership with 5,487,778 units sold, capturing a 29.02% market share. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India followed with 4,797,974 units and a 25.37% share. TVS Motor Company ranked third with 3,238,852 units sold, holding a 17.13% market share.  Notable players in the electric two-wheeler segment, such as Ola Electric and Ather Energy, showed promising performance, contributing to the overall growth. Suzuki, Royal Enfield, and Yamaha also maintained steady growth.
