New 2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 unveiled with Upgrades
CalendarPublished on November 22, 2024 by BikeJunction
The 2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 has been unveiled with substantial major updates. The new model boasts more refined styling, including a sharper front end and reshaped bodywork, but retains the same 660cc inline-three that churns out 80bhp.  Moreover, the key touches include more advanced suspension, updated rider ergonomics, and improved rider aids. These updates include more advanced traction control and a full-colour TFT display. Other improvements that make it even more versatile for touring enthusiasts include a revised braking system, better fuel efficiency, and more comfortable seating. Quick Highlights:2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 features updates.New standard bi-directional quick shifter and cruise control.Lean-sensitive ABS and traction control for safety. My Triumph Connectivity module with navigation alerts.2025 model to launch in India soon.Other upgrades now standard on the 2025 Tiger Sport 660 include a bi-directional quick shifter and cruise control. Previously, the quick shifter was available as an option, while cruise control was not offered at all.  Enhanced Features and Expected Arrival in IndiaTriumph has also fitted an inertial measurement unit, which makes both the ABS and traction control lean-sensitive to improve corner safety further. It also comes equipped with the My Triumph Connectivity module as standard. This further provides turn-by-turn navigation and call and message alerts on the instrument cluster's display. So, everything else about the bike remains the same. The same 660cc, inline-three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine continues to produce 80bhp at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm.  Additionally, the frame is still a tubular steel trellis suspended from upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking comes courtesy of twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the rear, pulled in by Nissin callipers for effective retardation. Furthermore, the 2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is expected to arrive in India soon. The current model is priced at Rs. 9.58 lakh (ex-showroom), and the updated version is likely to be priced slightly higher. Before you go, have a look at the Royal Enfield Unveiled the Goan Classic 350Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb        Instagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta        Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
Why Is Triumph Recalling Tiger Sport 660 And Trident 660 Models?
Why Is Triumph Recalling Tiger Sport 660 And Trident 660 Models?
CalendarPublished on March 1, 2024 by BikeJunction
On February 14 2024, Triumph Motorcycle America issued a safety recall for its - Trident 660s and Tiger Sport 660s models. As per the NHTSA's Safety Recall Report, China claimed the first service warranty back in mid-July. Then, two more claims from China came by late August month. This situation led Triumph Motorcycles to start an investigation to find the cause of these continual claims. When the quality department submitted its findings on February 24, 2024, Triumph realised that detaching front fork caps was the cause of this issue. Also, it involves the replacement of the MAP hose, which can create issues with the MAP sensor. Triumph adds to the report that bikes produced before May 2022 were affected by the recall due to a machining error, which has since been corrected.Triumph Bikes Affected After the RecallAround 107 bikes sold in the US are believed to be facing issues due to improperly machined front fork caps. The table given below provides the production date for the models recalled by Triumph Motorcycle America.  Model Name Production DateTriumph Trident 660May 18, 2022 to April 28, 2022Triumph Tiger Sport 660 May 5, 2022 to May 24, 2022The fork caps inserted during the production could have their threads torn away, thereby detaching from the fork tube. Both models have incorrectly machined threads on fork caps, causing detachment. This results in poor performance, causing high risk in controlling vehicles and preventing potential crashes. Now, let's quickly go through the features, engine, and its ability to provide various ride experiences. Tiger Sport 660 The Tiger Sport 660 boasts a powerful 3-cylinder engine, delivering Triumph's signature triple sound and performance. It is a bike that is ideal for city commuting and touring. Also, it offers a balance of low-end torque and top-end power. This model is powered by a 660cc engine capacity that delivers 81 PS peak power and 64 Nm peak torque. Its 3-cylinder engine generates a unique triple-level sound for creating a smooth and enjoyable riding experience. This ensures an enhanced riding experience, from premium Showa suspension, Nissin brakes, and Michelin Road 5 tyres. Tiger Sport 660 features include ABS, full LED lighting, and traction control. Moreover, this model ensures a convenient ride with a 17-litre fuel tank and integrated pannier mounts. Also, its adjustable screen allows the rider to manoeuvre the bike at their convenience. Trident 660 The TRIDENT 660 is a high-class model with competitive pricing. It offers triple-powered performance with a balance of torque and power. Its 660cc engine delivers 64 Nm torque and 81PS power. This model has class-leading technology like TFT instruments and LED lighting. Also, it ensures advanced safety with ABS and traction control. The minimalist design of this model exudes sporty confidence, while its agile handling and low seat height enhance manoeuvrability. As suggested by Triumph Motorcycles, the bike has a service interval of 10,000 miles. It makes the Trident 660 bike a top choice for riders seeking exceptional value with premium features and performance. The Trident 660 does it all with its sporty-built appearance and stylish features. Before you go, remember to check out our latest news coverage on the upcoming Royal Enfield Roadster 450 and everything it is going to offer. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb               Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta               Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
Five Factors That Make the Triumph Speed T4 Better Than the Triumph Speed 400
Five Factors That Make the Triumph Speed T4 Better Than the Triumph Speed 400
CalendarPublished on January 11, 2025 by BikeJunction
The Triumph Speed T4 is now much more inexpensive than it was previously, thanks to a recent huge reduction of Rs 18,000. Many people believed that the Speed T4 was only a less expensive Triumph Speed 400 once it was first released. The bike, however, is more than that. In this article, we will discuss five reasons why we prefer the Speed T4 to the Speed 400. 5 Things That Make Speed T4 Out StandsThere are a number of benefits that the Triumph Speed T4 has over the Speed 400. The T4 is notable for its emphasis on handling, comfort, and efficiency. Most riders find it to be a more practical option because of its smoother performance and enhanced city riding skills. Improved Grunt on the Bottom EndThe engine is the same for the Triumph Speed 400 and the Triumph Speed T4. On the T4, however, the 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine generates 36 Nm and 30.6 bhp. Compared to Speed 400, this is 1.5 Nm less and has 9 bhp. However, the whole situation is not depicted by the power figures. The engine has undergone several modifications from Triumph, including the addition of a stronger flywheel. The bike's bottom-end torque has been increased as a result. The model is more responsive than the Speed 400 because it has higher torque between 2,500 and 5,500 rpm. When riding in the city, the Speed T4 feels much better than the Speed 400's revvier engine. Tractable EngineTrajectability is another factor that makes the Speed T4 appealing to us. When in fourth gear, the bike may be readily ridden at 30 to 40 kmph. The best thing is that the bike will take up without shaking or banging when you open the throttle at these speeds. The Speed T4's tractability significantly improves performance when cycling in urban areas. Additionally, the rider does not need to continually downshift in order to overtake quickly. Able to Cruise More EffectivelyTriumph replaced the Speed 400's 43-tooth rear sprocket with a smaller, 39-tooth one for the Speed T4. The bike can travel at greater speeds at fewer rpms because of the larger gearing this provides. To give you a realistic idea, the engine revs at around 5,450 rpm while the T4 is travelling at 100 kmph in sixth gear. The engine is running at around 6,150 rpm, which is the same speed as the speed 400. As a result, the Speed T4 feels more at ease and can cruise at faster speeds for longer. Additionally, this implies that the T4 should be more economical, whether travelling through cities or even when cruising on the highway.  More Smoothly Operated ThrottleThe Triumph Speed 400 features a ride-by-wire throttle, but the Speed T4 has a cable-operated throttle body. However, especially at slower speeds, we find that the T4's throttle feels more smoother and more consistent than the Speed 400's. The ride-by-wire throttle on the Speed 400 has several problems, one of which is that it doesn't seem as smooth. The on/off throttle transitions make this evident and leave you wanting more. Consistent ManagementInstead of an inverted fork, the Speed T4 is equipped with a standard telescopic fork. However, this hasn't in any way degraded the handling. The bike is agile enough to manoeuvre through traffic and seems much more predictable. In contrast, the Speed 400 seems a little too fast to manoeuvre. All things considered, the Speed T4 has more handling predictability. In comparison to the Speed 400, it also seems much more relaxed. The Speed T4 had just been ridden by us. We have examined the differences between the Speed T4 and the Speed 400 in further detail in the review. Before you go, check out the Don't Miss These Game-Changing Scooters Launching in 2025!Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
