A recently leaked report claimed that a new 650cc–750cc platform is being developed jointly by TVS and its European partner, BMW Motorrad. This is a highly sensible and maybe advantageous move for both businesses despite the lack of information.
The 650cc motorcycle sector is well-liked, and numerous companies have recently entered it. Even Royal Enfield has 3 bikes with more on the way, while Aprilia entered the 650cc market with the Tuono 660, RS 660, and Tuareg 660.
The new platform might cover the gap between BMW Motorrad's G 310 trio (G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR) and the F 750 GS. Given that the Apache RR 310 is the company's flagship model, a move into the 650cc-750cc area would be fascinating in our market.
Although TVS may choose a faired motorbike that is more in accordance with the company's race history, BMW is expected to add a naked and an ADV to its "R" and "GS" range of bikes.
Price would be crucial in determining whether these bikes would be successful. The bikes would need to be produced in India for TVS and BMW to succeed in our cutthroat market. Although this looks like an intriguing development, the bike won't likely make its first appearance in public until late 2025.
