TVS has launched a new All Black colour option for the base variant of the popular TVS Radeon motorcycle. This new colour brings a fresh look to the bike and is available only for the base variant. Moreover, the company has reduced the price of the Radeon base variant by Rs. 2,525. TVS Radeon now starts at Rs. 60,105 for the base variant.  What’s New in the TVS Radeon All Black? The new All Black variant has a stylish black paint scheme with red and white graphics. Unlike other colour options, the grab rail, exhaust, bend pipe, rear shocks, and headlight cover are all blacked out. In other variants, these parts are chrome-finished. The seat in the new All Black version is also black, while the Metal Black variant has a brown seat.  TVS Radeon now comes in eight different colour schemes. The base variant is available in five colours, including Starlight Blue, Metal Black, Royal Purple, Titanium Grey, and the latest All Black.   Engine Specifications and Features Mechanically, the TVS Radeon remains unchanged across all variants. It is powered by a 109.7cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that generates 8.08 bhp and 8.7 Nm of torque. Moreover, the engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox.  The new All Black variant also features a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster. This shows key information such as the speedometer, odometer, eco/power indicator, fuel gauge, and side stand alert.  Suspension and Braking SystemTVS Radeon is built on a single-cradle tubular frame, with a telescopic fork at the front and 5-step preload-adjustable twin shocks at the rear. Furthermore, the base variants come with 130mm front and 110mm rear drum brakes. All models come equipped with a combined braking system (CBS) for better safety.  The bike rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres at both ends. Moreover, it has a 10-litre fuel tank and a ground clearance of 180mm. This comes even as owning a small, high-end motorcycle can be costly. What has grabbed eyes, however, is the Tagline: Thrill looks alive. The bike is being positioned in the urban cities with an ex-showroom price of ₹ 84,869. Super Splendor has as many variants as its big sibling, and prices range from ₹ 80,848 to 84,748. Though it claims an ARAI-certified mileage of 60 kmpl, in the real world, the actual figure may vary and is generally below that mark.It is more fuel efficient, has a stronger claim in this category, and will offer more power and torque. However, it sports 180mm of ground clearance and on-paper kerb weights of 122 kg for the drum variant and 122 kg for the disc variant, making it stable and comfortable. Verdict: TVS Raider 125 Drum vs Hero Super Splendor DrumIn this comparison, the Raider 125 from TVS stands out since it offers more in terms of performance, mileage, and sportiness than Hero Super Splendor. While the Super Splendor remains a good bet for those who like things simple, the Raider is faring better on several fronts. Moreover, the drum variant of Super Splendor is available for an estimated amount of ₹4,000 less than that of the Raider. TVS has quietly introduced a new variant of the Raider 125 motorcycle in India. This new version features drum brakes at both ends and is priced at Rs. 84,469 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is now the most affordable model in the Raider 125 lineup, costing Rs. 11,000 less than the single-seat variant. It is available in two striking colours, including Red and Wicked Black.
