TVS Raider 125 has sold over 700,000 units in India since it was launched just over two years ago. And now it has become the brand’s highest-selling bike. Moreover, the new TVS Raider is India’s first commuter bike with a Bluetooth-enabled TFT console. It was awarded by IMOTY 2022. The price of Raider 125 in India starts from Rs. 95,219 to 1.03 Lakh. This bike is available in 5 variants and competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Honda SP 125, and Hero Xtreme 125.
TVS Raider has been a game-changer for TVS Motor Company in the Indian market. With a total of 7,14,484 units sold up to January 2024, it has significantly contributed to TVS' growth in the two-wheeler segment. Particularly popular among Gen-Z motorcycle buyers, the Raider has seen remarkable success.
In the ongoing fiscal year 2024, the Raider achieved exceptional sales figures, selling 3,98,354 units in just the first 10 months, surpassing its previous year's performance of 2,39,388 units. Impressively, it has become TVS' top-selling motorcycle, overtaking even the renowned Apache series. Moreover, the Raider 125 accounts for 39% of TVS' motorcycle sales in the same period. Following closely is the Apache series with a 30%, showing the Raider's dominance in the lineup.
TVS bike sales in the first 10 months of FY24 have already surpassed previous records, and the Raider 125 is playing an important role. This strong performance indicates a bright future for the company, and continued demand for the Raider and other models is expected to drive sales to new heights.
The TVS Raider 125 is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, air/Oil-cooled, BS6 engine that delivers 11.2 bhp @ 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm @ 6,000 rpm of torque. Its engine is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox with 1 down and 4 up gear shifting patterns. This bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 99 kmph.
This engine configuration ensures a smooth and efficient ride that makes it suitable for city commutes. Additionally, its air-cooled and three-valve design enhances reliability and ease of maintenance. It comes with a fuel tank of 10 litres and offers a mileage of 56.7 kmpl. This bike gets ET-FI technology that ensures 15% more mileage & smoother performance, giving a riding range of 560 km.
TVS Raider features a sleek LED headlamp with integrated DRLs, complemented by a body-coloured headlight cowl and front fender. The split-style saddle and aluminium grab rail add a sporty touch. Moreover, the engine cowl completes the sleek profile. It comes with sporty tank scoops that enhance its naked street design. This bike is available in 4 colour schemes, including Striking Red, Blazing Blue, Wicked Black, and Fiery Yellow.
The design is visually appealing and functional due to features like under-seat storage and an LED taillight, ensuring convenience and safety.
In terms of suspension, it gets a 30mm telescopic fork at the front and a 5-step preload adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. This setup provides a balanced and comfortable ride over various road surfaces. Additionally, the disc-brake variant includes a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the back for efficient braking performance. Moreover, It has CBS across all variants.
The TVS Raider 125 bike offers riders peace of mind and confidence while manoeuvring through urban traffic or cruising on highways. It has an 80/100-17 tubeless tyre in front and a 100/90-17 tubeless tyre at the rear end.
The company has introduced 3 new colour options, including Froza Blue, Black Panther and Iron Man, to attract customers. Moreover, it is now available with a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. This allows you to manage calls on the go, navigate, voice assist, notifications, weather updates, and sports updates.
You also connect with a convenient app that offers information about the last parked location, ride report, service report and profile management for enhanced convenience. It comes with a helmet attention indication, USB charger, and side stand indication.
