Top 5 Cruiser Motorcycles under Rs 2 lakh

1. Royal Enfield Classic 350

The vintage-style Royal Enfield Classic 350 has won the hearts of ardent bike enthusiasts since 2008. Its latest version will be released in the current year only. Its popularity can be understood from the fact that it remained the most demanding bike, especially after introducing the BS 6 norms. As of February 2022, RE models topped the sales chart. The RE Classic 350 has five variants: Redditch, Halcyon, Signals, Dark and Chrome. Redditch is the base model priced at 1.84 lakhs (ex-showroom), while the most premium version of Chrome sells for 2.21 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The bullet maker retained the round headlight, mirror, analogue speedometer, signature teardrop fuel tank, and biker-loving features. However, various parts were introduced to update the Classic 350, such as a USB port under the handlebar. In addition, it has a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. The bike comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tires. All options are available in different colours, including all variants. The bike is available in 11 colours.

A 349 cc single-cylinder engine powers this iconic bike. Its air-oil-cooled engine can generate a maximum torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm and a maximum power of 20.21 bhp at 6100 rpm. The bike has a speed of up to 120 km/h and rides smoothly even at speeds of 100 km/h or more. It weighs around 195kg, which is more than its earlier versions. The company has retained its traditional seats but claims they are now much wider to provide more comfort. It competes with Honda CB 350 RS, Jawa Perak and Honda Hness CB350.

2. Yezdi Roadster

Unlike the other Yezdi motorcycles, the Roadster's identity is found between the cruiser and sports bike. Externally, it is similar to the stretched Jawa with a different fuel tank design and headlight design. However, it looks stretched because Classic Legends increased the steering angle to a lazy 29 degrees and increased the wheelbase from 1369mm to 1440mm.

The prices range from Rs 1.98 lakh to Rs 2.06 lakh, depending on which colour you choose. All these specifications make the Roadster squarely the rivals of Royal Enfield and Honda in the 350cc segment.

The Roadster and Scrambler have 12.5-litre fuel tanks, with the latter positioned as the lowest model in the Yezdi lineup. The handling of the Roadster is very similar to that of the Jawa, which is not surprising since the main chassis is almost the same, except for a redesigned steering geometry and a longer wheelbase. The ride quality is good and quite soft, although the rear suspension feels too soft.

Like the other two Yezdis, the Roadster uses a larger 334 cc engine. However, the performance that Roadster offers is very high. Its engine generates a power of 29.7 bhp along with a torque of 29 Nm.

All three Yezdi bikes come with a single-cylinder engine. In addition, Roadster and Scambler are aligned with twin exhausts, while on the other hand, the Adventure has a single exhaust. As a result, the Roadster sounds different from the other two Yezdis, with more pulsing and beating that can be heard in modern Jawa engines. If you like the sound of modern Jawa motorcycles, the Roadster will be your favourite.

3. Royal Enfield Meteor 350

Royal Enfield Meteor is the first choice of cruiser lovers in the Indian 350cc segments. This bike is an upgraded version of RE Thunderbird. The starting price of this cruiser is Rs. 2,00,924 in India. It is available in 3 variants and 13 colours with a top price of Rs. 2,17343. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is equipped with a 349 cc BS6 engine that develops a power of 20.2 bhp along with a torque of 27 Nm. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has an anti-lock braking system with front and rear disc brakes. This Meteor 350 motorcycle weighs 191 kg and has a 15-litre fuel tank.

The overall style is reminiscent of Thunderbird. But now, it looks more modern and much prettier. The brand used many impressive design elements to make it look like a modern cruiser. In addition, the company offers many additional accessories that add to the overall appeal of the bike. The Meteor 350 offers an impressive mileage of 40 km per litre. Meteor 350 is designed with a modern semi-digital instrument panel. A navigation system can also be connected to your phone using Bluetooth. Further, the suspension of the new Meteor 350 is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and double-sided shock absorbers at the rear.

4. Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220

The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise is the flagship cruiser bike of Bajaj Auto. It takes on the typical laid-back cruiser position with a forward lean, low seat height and comfortable riding position. So if you're looking to take a few leisurely highway miles, the Avenger 220 Cruise is the perfect choice for your pocket. Bajaj Avenger 220 has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,38,368. The company offers the 220cc cruiser in Moon White and Auburn Black.

Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220

The design of the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is similar to its smaller segment, the Avenger 160 Street, upgraded with a few differences. Since this is a Cruise model, it has a large windshield and many Chrome and spoked rims. Unlike its little brother, the Avenger 220 Cruise features a fully digital instrument cluster with an odometer, trip odometer, clock, fuel gauge and service reminder. The tank also has an additional console with several signal lights. The headlight is composed of LED DRLs.

The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise has the same engine as the legendary Bajaj Pulsar 220F. The cruiser engine is equipped with a fuel injection system and develops a power of 19.03 bhp along with a torque of 17.55 Nm. This bike comes with a five-speed gearbox.

Braking equipment includes a 280mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake, and a standard single-channel ABS. Further, this Avenger model is fitted with 17-inch front, and 15-inch rear spoke wheels.

5. Komaki Ranger

Komaki Electric Vehicles has finally launched. India's first Komaki Ranger electric cruise bike has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.68 lakhs. The company will make the electric motorcycle available at all its dealerships from January 26th.

Komaki Ranger

The Komaki Ranger features an iconic aesthetic that gives it a pretty vintage look. The motorcycle features large wheels and a chromed exterior, showing a typical cruiser design. Shiny chrome round LED headlights in retro style combined with double Chrome round auxiliary lamps give this bike a distinctive look. Side turn indicators flank the headlight in retro style.

Komaki Ranger has a 4000W motor and an advanced 4KW lithium battery. Komaki claims the bike has the same powertrain performance as its internal combustion engine counterparts.
The Ranger offers a range of 180-220 kilometres on a single charge. The motorcycle can be fully charged in about five to six hours.

Komaki has equipped the Ranger with a Bluetooth sound system, side stand sensor, cruise control function, anti-theft lock system, double storage box and double passenger footrest. At the rear, the Ranger gets a skid plate, tail light guard, and rear seat backrest. In addition, the dual sound pipes have a flame effect. The transmission mode has several options, including Eco, Comfort, Sport and Turbo. Other features include a mobile charging point, reversing assistant, Bluetooth speaker, and regenerative braking.

Conclusion

The cruising experience is one of the most relaxing experiences on every rider's list. As previously, we had choices of petrol bikes for cruising; Komaki has opened another window to cruise with electric-powered motorcycles. The upgraded bikes of RE and Yezdi are already hitting the market. Now, this is to see how much love the new electric cruising bike receives.
