Spied Testing - Royal Enfield 650 CC Continental GT-Based Faired Bike

In India, a faired 650cc motorbike based on the Royal Enfield Continental GT could go on sale later this year or in 2024. The Super Meteor 650's costs will be revealed by Royal Enfield this month, and deliveries are scheduled to start in February 2023. The third of the brand's 650 cc models, the premier cruiser, was presented by the Chennai-based manufacturer a few months ago at the 2022 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The 650 cc portfolio will be extended further.

We now know that the future 650 cc range will include a scrambler, a dual-purpose adventure tourer, a faired motorbike, a 650 with a vintage theme, and a 650 with a Bullet theme. This information is thanks to an internal presentation. The new, faired motorcycle that is based on the Continental GT is shown to you in its purest form here, and sales of it may start soon.

The business announced its return to Indian motorsports in late 2021 with the one-make Continental GT Cup. One of the features of the basic Continental GT's track-racing modifications is its semi-faired appearance. It appears that Royal Enfield intends to release a production-spec version of the GT-R 650 for the public.

The test prototype has graphics that are similar to those on the Continental GT. As it is a cafe racer with a low-set clip-on handlebar, it only makes it natural that it would have an angular windscreen and an old-fashioned semi-faired frame. We doubt that it is the final production model, though. In addition, the crankcase was altered, there were two exhaust pipes, and the front and rear wheels had spokes in white color. The handlebar may have also been significantly moved.

One should also take note of the rearward-set rider footpegs, single-seat design, tubular grab rail, rectangular tail lamp and halogen turn signals, circular mirrors, etc. A 648 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree firing sequence continues to power it. The air- and oil-cooled engine produced a peak torque of 52 Nm and about 47 PS.

The bike is supported by twin rear shock absorbers and telescoping front forks. The 650cc motorbike with a fairing will also have dual-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, a slipper and assist clutch, a semi-digital instrument pod, and other features. So, it might be placed just above the current Continental GT.
