Scram 440 to Replace 411 with New 440cc Engine, Launching Next Year

So, Royal Enfield is planning a 440cc engine, which is said to be the brand's first significant performance-grade upgrade. Once it is ready, it will power a few of the brand's future motorcycles. It will sport improved grunt and efficiency compared with its previous models, making it suitable for riding by both riders and newcomers alike.

The first product to emerge from the production lines is the adventure bike Scram 440. It is scheduled to launch next year and promises to offer a perfect mix of Royal Enfield's tough design and improved performance for a wider range of customers.

Quick Highlights:

  • Scram 440 to replace Scram 411 model
  • New 443cc engine boosts power, torque
  • Chassis tweaks improve city riding comfort
  • Fresh paint schemes and updated styling
  • Scram 440 launch scheduled for mid-2025

Royal Enfield is definitely having an extremely busy year. With several new motorcycles already launched and unveiled, the company will look at an aggressive start to the year 2025 as it goes live on a new scrambler.

New Engine, Updated Styling, and Enhanced Features for 2025 Launch

The company will launch the Scram 440, a replacement model for the Scram 411 that it has been offering in the market for the last three years. Bajaj Auto offers the vehicle with updated styling and a variety of new, fresh color options.

The Scram 440 will use the updated version of the 411cc single-cylinder engine on the Scram 411. Increased to 443cc, the engine should produce a minor increase in power, 25bhp at 6250rpm, over the Scram 411's 24bhp at 6500rpm. There should also be a slight gain in torque. The five-speed box should remain the same.

Royal Enfield has repaired the Scram 440's chassis to make it more comfortable to ride in the city. Most of the cycle parts, however, will remain unchanged and are to be carried forward from the Scram 411. The company may make the Scram 440 look a little more premium with the reworked instrument cluster. However, the same cannot be said about taking the TFT screen from the Himalayan 450.

The new Scram 440 is set to launch in India in the first half of 2025, with an expected price range of approximately Rs 2.10 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
