The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has a lot at stake. The popularity of this motorcycle will aid RE in consolidating its global leadership in the 500-700cc motorcycle market. The first Royal Enfield 650cc low-slung cruiser has now arrived in the UK, with deliveries scheduled to start on February 1st in India.
The Super Meteor 650 is presently being exported by Royal Enfield. The first shipment has arrived in the UK, and more markets will probably close behind. These will be sent to those who have already reserved a new Super Meteor 650.
This is the first shipment of Super Meteor 650 from India. Prior to the start of domestic market supplies, exports began. Typically, a producer begins exporting a few months after domestic market deliveries have begun.
This procedure is probably done so that OEMs can fix any problems that first customers may encounter. However, it appears that Royal Enfield will deviate from this pattern and begin deliveries both in India and abroad simultaneously.
The Super Meteor 650 introduces many firsts for the company. It is the first Royal Enfield to use USD forks, LED headlights, and a tripper screen as standard equipment. It is also the first 650cc bike to do so. In conclusion, Royal Enfield has made a fantastic effort in this genre and is expected to get a lot of traction in areas like North America and Europe, where the motorcycle cruiser community is enormous. Currently, these kinds of communities like Harley-Davidsons, Indians, and specially designed choppers with long-stroke engines.
The Super Meteor 650 is now available for purchase on the Royal Enfield UK website, with the Astral trim starting at GBP 6,799 (about Rs 6.87 lakh). This trim is available in Astral Black, Astral Blue, and Astral Green. Interstellar trim is available in Interstellar Green and Interstellar Grey for GBP 6,999 (about Rs 7.07 million). Last but not least, Celestial is available in Celestial Blue and Celestial Red for GBP 7,299 (about Rs 7.37 lakh). All costs are exclusive of taxes.
The variety lineup is basically identical to India's. Only the top Celestial grade receives a front windscreen, a rear pillion backrest, and other perks. However, with the Grand Tourer accessory pack, which was announced in India, the majority of these can be converted to other trims. If demand for this pack increases, it may be made available in the UK and other markets.
UK-spec RE Super Meteor 650 shares the same parts and drivetrains. The 648cc parallel-twin engine that powers it continues to produce roughly 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. It has a slipper clutch for improved riding comfort and is connected to a 6-speed gearbox. Also available as standard is dual-channel ABS.
