Royal Enfield's 350cc models have played a crucial role in driving the company's exceptional performance in the second quarter of 2023. With a record-breaking 2.27 lakh unit sales, this period has been Royal Enfield's most successful in CY23.

In terms of June 2023 sales data, Royal Enfield experienced increased demand in the domestic market but faced challenges with exports. Combining both domestic and export sales, the company sold a total of 77,109 units in June 2023.

Compared to June 2022, this reflects a notable growth of 26%, with sales reaching 61,407 units in the same period. Year-to-date (YTD) sales also demonstrated a significant increase, with a 22% growth to 2,27,706 units in the second quarter of 2023, as opposed to 1,87,205 units sold in the first quarter of 2022. These figures mark Royal Enfield's most successful second quarter in CY23, with 2,27,706 units sold.

In June 2023, the domestic motorcycle market witnessed a remarkable improvement in sales, with a 34% growth to reach 67,495 units compared to 50,265 units sold in June 2022. This positive trend also extended to the year-to-date (YTD) sales, with a 31% increase to 2,07,171 units in the fiscal year 2023-24, compared to 1,57,642 units sold in the previous fiscal year 2022-23. Royal Enfield's 350cc bikes primarily drove strong sales performance, including popular models such as Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350.

However, there was a month-on-month (MoM) decline in domestic sales from 70,795 motorcycles sold in May 2023. On the other hand, exports showed growth, with 9,614 units shipped in June 2023, compared to 6,666 units in the same month. In contrast, exports experienced a year-on-year (YoY) decline of 14%, with 9,614 units sold in June 2023 compared to 11,142 units in June 2022. YTD exports also saw a decline of 31% to 20,535 units in the fiscal year 2023-24, compared to 29,563 units sold in the same period last year.

Royal Enfield has recently made an exciting announcement regarding the expansion of their motorcycle portfolio in the coming years. The company plans to introduce a total of 13 new bikes, with 2 models in the 350cc segment, 5 models in the 450cc segment, and 6 models in the 650cc segment. Royal Enfield Expands Its Global Presence In Nepal

With its products continuing to perform well across both Indian and international markets, Royal Enfield has expanded its presence in Nepal markets with its 5th international CKD assembly unit set up in the country. Built-in association with Triveni Group, this facility is located in Birgunj.

It joins similar facilities in Brazil, Thailand, Columbia and Argentina. The Nepal facility is spread over an area of 1 lakh sq ft and has the capacity to assemble 20,000 units per annum. Royal Enfield will initially start assembly operations in Nepal with the Classic 350 and Scram 411.
