Over the past few months, we have seen quite a few spy shots of the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 350-based bobber, the Goan Classic 350. It's scheduled to launch this year at the Motoverse, so here's what we expect from the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350.
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 will maintain the classic design while incorporating some contemporary features. These features include a 349cc engine, modern braking systems, and an amazing design with modern style. The bike promises performance and heritage for enthusiasts.
These spy shots pretty much indicate that the Goan Classic 350 will be a version of the standard model, though there were a few more or less important tweaks. The main updates came in hardware—white-walled tyres, tall U-shaped handlebars, and a detachable pillion seat. This last one even revealed the rear fender, making this Goan look even better.
Apart from the LED headlight, we expect that the Goan Classic 350 will share the same instrument cluster as the current Classic 350. This single-pod unit carries all the required readouts, and Royal Enfield might also add Tripper Navigation. If the new Goan Classic is to be offered in a couple of variants, we expect it to be sold with single—and dual-channel ABS options.
Goan Classic 350 will get the same J-series 349cc engine, which produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. This engine is currently used in the Classic 350, Meteor 350, Hunter 350, and Bullet 350. It will be mated to a five-speed gearbox. We expect very little to almost nothing to change in the on-road delivery of power and engine performance.
Royal Enfield will equip this Goan Classic 350 with telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. Road-biased tyres will be mounted on spoke wheels along with front and rear discs. However, the entry variants of the Goan Classic are likely only to feature a rear drum brake.
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be positioned above the standard Classic 350.
