New Royal Enfield Bullet 350 To Launch In India On August 30

Royal Enfield is planning to launch an updated version of its legendary motorcycle, the Bullet 350. The Bullet has a long history of being in production since 1931. Royal Enfield will likely introduce the new Bullet 350 in the upcoming launch event scheduled between August 30 and September 1.

What’s New About the Upcoming Bullet 350

The new Bullet 350 will get updates in line with RE's modern J-platform, which they already used in their Classic, Meteor, and Hunter 350 models. It includes the adoption of a smoother 349cc engine.

The update to the new 349cc J-platform motor for the Bullet 350 marks the end of an era for Royal Enfield. It signifies the retirement of the long-standing 346cc UCE engine. The UCE engine has a crucial role in reviving the company's fortunes and establishing its position in the middleweight motorcycle segment during its introduction in 2010. However, with the introduction of the new J-platform engine, Royal Enfield is moving towards adopting modern technology.

The updated Bullet 350 is expected to resemble the current Classic 350 model closely. It has only subtle differences, such as a single-piece seat, a different tail lamp, and the removal of the headlight hood. The engine produces the same output figures of 20hp and 27Nm, consistent with other J-platform models. However, the chassis is likely similar to the one in the Classic 350.

Price and Positioning of Royal Enfield Bullet 350

An important aspect is observing the updated Bullet's pricing and positioning in Royal Enfield's lineup. Previously, the Bullet was the entry-level model, offering the most affordable price tag and basic features. The Bullet may position it differently by introducing the Hunter model, which occupies the entry-level spot with a starting price of Rs 1.5 lakh. However, the Classic 350 starts at Rs 1.93 lakh, leaving a significant gap in pricing between the Hunter and Classic models.
