Kawasaki Z900RS 2023 Model Debuts in India for Rs 16.47 Lakh

India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2023 version of the Z900RS neo-retro bike. The motorcycle costs Rs 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom). It has the same design as the smaller Z650RS. But the engine and hardware are more premium and upmarket. Let's take a look at what it offers as a complete package.

Z900RS 2023: A Retro Tribute to Classic Kawasaki Bikes

The Z900RS has a classic design that is inspired by the Kawasaki bikes of the past. It has a charming old-school look with a round headlamp, a drop-shaped fuel tank, and a slim tail with a ribbed seat.

It also has multi-spoke alloy wheels with chrome rims and a chrome exhaust that enhance its appearance. Kawasaki offers the bike in two coloursMetallic Diablo Black/Metallic Imperial Red and Candy Tone Blue.

No Frills, Just Essentials: A Minimalist Approach to Features

The Z900RS has a few basic features for its category, such as KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), an assist and slipper clutch, and all-LED lights. In addition, the dashboard has a retro style with two round gauges for speed and RPM and a negative LCD in the middle.

Z900 Engine Powers the Z900RS: A Performance Boost for the Retro Bike

The Z900RS uses the same engine as the Z900 naked street bike. It has a 948cc inline four-cylinder, and the liquid-cooled engine. Its powerful engine is capable of generating 107 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and 95 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm

Further, It has a six-speed gearbox paired with the engine. It also shares most of its hardware with the Z900. It has 17-inch alloy wheels with 41mm inverted front forks. Further, it has a rear mono-shock absorber for suspension. It also has 300 mm dual discs in the front and a 250mm single disc in the back for braking.

How Does the Z900RS 2023 Compare to Its Rivals?

The Z900RS has a unique four-cylinder engine layout that makes it different from other bikes in India. But based on its body style and displacement, it can be compared to the Triumph Bonneville T100 and Speed Twin. The Honda CB1000R is another potential competitor, but the bike's latest version is still unavailable in India.
