Husqvarna Motorcycles has revealed the 2024 Svartpilen 801 in the international market. This bike is scheduled for production on March 19. Its prototype has a similar design to the Svartpilen 450 bike. Although the Svartpilen 801 is similar to KTM bikes, it still has its own special features and different handlebars. This ensures that each Husqvarna bike keeps its own style and aesthetics.
The design of the Svartpilen 801 combines simple style with inspiration from scrambler bikes. It keeps the same cool design as the other Svartpilen and Vitpilen bikes, with big round headlights, a shaped fuel tank, and a short seat. While the prototype had special tyres and camouflage graphics. Moreover, the final production models will come in different colour options.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 has a parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 103.6bhp. Its engine is mated by a 6-speed gearbox that offers quick and smooth acceleration. Moreover, it will also get a bidirectional quick-shifter. This bike weighs around 181 kg, which makes it ideal for every rider. Moreover, this lightweight powerhouse offers a dynamic power-to-weight ratio.
Some people might be surprised that Husqvarna chose the smaller 799cc engine from KTM instead of the bigger 889cc one. But they did it to ensure the Svartpilen 801 had the best performance and agility.
The company tested Svartpilen 801 extensively on different types of roads, including flat tracks and icy roads with special tyres. This testing helped ensure that the bike could easily handle all sorts of riding situations. It also encouraged riders to try new things and go on different adventures.
Svartpilen 801 comes with advanced electronic rider aids, including the innovative Easy Shift system for seamless gear changes, which is provided as standard. These cutting-edge technologies enhance performance and prioritise safety. This bike has a single tubular handlebar, a bash plate, and an upswept exhaust.
This Husqvarna bike uses technology from the KTM 790 Duke and 890 Duke for its frame and parts. It has a strong steel frame, a cast alloy swingarm, and suspension from WP Apex. It also has modern electronic systems to help riders, like cornering ABS, traction control, and different riding modes. This ensures riders feel confident and have fun on every ride.
