Royal Enfield is known in India for its iconic cruiser bikes. And recently, the brand announced the introduction of new motorcycles in India this year. Among these upcoming models, the Classic 650 and Scrambler 650 have captured the attention of enthusiasts. These bikes are upgraded versions of their older models with a new 650cc engine.
This RE bike is expected to launch around Diwali 2024 in the Indian market. The Royal Enfield Classic 650 motorcycle is likely to be priced between Rs. 3,00,000 and Rs. 3,20,000. This bike is based on the Interceptor 650 platform and promises to inherit the classic styling similar to that of the current 350cc models. It is expected to come with a round-shaped headlamp, a minimalistic fuel tank, and a comfortable riding position.
The Classic 650 bike will be powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin engine found in its counterparts. Its powerful engine generates 47.4 bhp and 52.4 Nm of torque. Moreover, its engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox that ensures smoother acceleration during riding. This bike also gets a twin peashooter exhaust setup, adding to its timeless appeal.
This bike may feature LED lighting that offers enhanced visibility. Also, the company will provide a lot of optional accessories to customise the riding experience. The production-ready test mules suggest that the Classic 650 will be equipped with wire-spoke rims. Also, it has an option for alloy wheels and tubeless tyres for enhanced convenience.
Scrambler 650 has been undergoing a lot of testing for a really long time now. This bike is also based on the Interceptor 650 platform and is expected to offer an exhilarating off-road experience. The Scrambler 650 promises to be a formidable competitor in its segment and is scheduled for a mid-2024 launch.
It is expected to come with a 649cc parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine, delivering 47bhp and 52 Nm of torque. Moreover, its engine is also coupled with a 6-speed gearbox for smoother gear shifts. It has a long-travel suspension, and a round LED headlamp will further enhance its off-road capabilities.
This Royal Enfield bike is likely to be fitted with an all-LED lighting setup, an offset single-pod console, a ribbed-pattern seat, oval-shaped side panels, and a taller handlebar. These features enhance rider comfort and convenience during rides. Moreover, it is equipped with a 19-17 inch shod with block-pattern tyres and spoke wheels. It has a single-sided, two-into-one exhaust canister. Also, it gets an upside-down fork for its front suspension system.
