- CFMoto 675SS launched in the US
- Powered by a 674.3cc, triple-cylinder engine
- Produces 95bhp and 70Nm
Chinese manufacturer CFMoto has launched its first supersport motorcycle, designed to compete with the Triumph Daytona 660. The new CFMoto 675SS has just been launched in the US, and its starting price is $7,999.
The CFMoto 675SS is powered by an in-house developed 674.2cc triple-cylinder engine. Featuring a 72mm bore and 55.2mm stroke, this engine produced a maximum power of 95bhp and a maximum torque of 70Nm at 11,000rpm, comparable to the Triumph Daytona 660. In contrast, the discontinued Daytona 675 produced 126bhp and 75Nm from its triple-cylinder engine.
CFMoto 675SS is equipped with a unidirectional gearshift system for smooth shifting, adjustable traction control, and dual-channel ABS. Although there is no driving mode, it has a 5-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
The motorcycle's front and rear feature multi-layer fairings with aerodynamic wings that enhance high-speed stability and cornering performance. Moreover, the LED lights are installed throughout the bike. The 675SS is supported by a Chromoly steel tubular frame, with the chassis connected to a cast aluminium banana swingarm.
The 675SS's suspension is controlled by a monoshock, which has fully adjustable KYB USD shocks at the front and adjustable preload and rebound at the rear. It is equipped with front tyres of size 120/70 R17 and rear tyres of size 180/55 R17.
Considering the power output, the CFMoto 675SS can be used as an alternative to the Triumph Daytona 660 in India. However, CFMT has no plans to launch the 675SS in the Indian market.
