BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Tourer Teaser Released in India

BMW Motorrad India has teased the upcoming BMW R 1300 GS adventure tourer bike on social media. This new model is ready to launch next month and will replace the R 1250 GS. The 2024 BMW R 1300 GS features a bigger engine, a new design, and improvements for better rideability.

The bike showcases new X-shaped LED daytime running lights and a central projector headlamp. The BMW R 1300 GS design of fuel tank is flatter that gives it a sleeker look. The main frame is made from a new sheet metal shell. The rear subframe is die-cast aluminum that enhances control and stiffness for off-road riding. Additionally, the R 1300 GS is 12 kg lighter than the R 1250 GS. This model is expected to be available in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

The new-generation BMW R 1300 GS features a 1,300cc twin-cylinder boxer engine. Its engine produces 145 bhp @ 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. This is an increase of 9 bhp and 6 Nm over the previous model. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike's suspension has been upgraded with an EVO telelever unit at the front and an EVO paralever unit at the rear. Both suspensions are fully adjustable. Moreover, an optional Dynamic Suspension Package allows riders to adjust damping and spring preload while riding and even change the seat height at low speeds. The new engine and suspension improvements make the R 1300 GS more powerful and versatile.
