Kawasaki India hopes to soon introduce the 2025 KLX 230R S to the local market. It offers Indian riders the latest version of this capable off-road machine at a more competitive price.
Kawasaki KLX 230R S features slightly revised bodywork but maintains its classic motocross design. It is available in two colors, including Lime Green and Battle Gray. The bike's appearance is bright and eye-catching. Moreover, the overall silhouette remains the same.
This track-only bike lacks road-legal equipment such as a headlight, turn indicators, taillight, and mirrors. Mechanically, the KLX 230R S remains unchanged from previous models. The S variant offers a lower seat height compared to the standard version. This makes it more accessible for riders. Furthermore, the KLX 230R S stays true to its roots, delivering a pure motocross experience.
Kawasaki KLX 230R S is powered by a 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It produces 19.57 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 20.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Moreover, the Kawasaki KLX 230R S engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike features a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with tube-type knobby tyres for excellent off-road traction.
It has a high-tensile steel perimeter frame, supported by front telescopic forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock for smooth handling. Apart form this, this Kawasaki off-road bike has a single 240 mm petal disc with a dual-piston caliper at the front and a 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear.
The KLX 230R S is designed for off-road use and does not have road-legal features. Moreover, the 2025 model has yet to be launched in India, and Kawasaki currently offers five other KLX models.
