The Hero Splendor, Hero HF Deluxe, and Honda Activa were the three most popular two-wheelers in India in December 2022. With 2,25,443 sales and a 25.45% market share, Splendor maintained its top spot as the best-selling bike. Sales of the Splendor, however, dropped from 2,26,759 units YoY to 1,316 units, or 0.58% YoY.

Sales of the Hero HF Deluxe increased significantly, with 24,675 more units sold in December 2022 than in December 2021. This led to a YoY rise of 29.70% and a market share of 12.16%. From 83k units, sales increased.

Activa sold 96,451 units in December 2022, a 7.63% YoY decline in sales. With a 10.89% market share, the Honda Activa dropped one spot and was ranked as the third-best-selling two-wheeler in the previous month. From 1,04,417 units, sales decreased. In India, the Honda Activa has always been a favourite among scooter purchasers, and in December 2022, this trend persisted. Despite a drop in ranking, it continues to be the most popular scooter in India. The New Honda Activa Smart model can be a good choice for individuals seeking a dependable and effective solution. It can completely dominate the market due to its cutting-edge features and technology.

Among the top 10 two-wheelers sold in India were the Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Jupiter, Bajaj Platina, Suzuki Access, TVS Raider, and XL 100. The YoY increase for CB Shine, Pulsar, and Jupiter was 28.94%, 15.09%, and 4.48%, respectively. From 68k units sold YoY, Honda CB Shine had an increase of 19,699 units sold. As a result, market share was recorded at 87,760 units sold in December 2022 or a little under 10%.

Sales of Pulsar increased by 9.8k units to 74,768 units. Sales increased from 65k units in a year. Sales of the TVS Jupiter increased by about 40k from 38,142 units, and the volume was up by 1.7k units. It now holds the title of best-selling two-wheeler for TVS.

TVS XL 100 and Bajaj Platina both had YoY declines of 19.29 and 22.26%, respectively. Platina sales decreased from 44.8k units to 36,157 units. There was an 8,643 unit volume loss. Sales of the Suzuki Access increased from 25,358 units to a little over 30k units. 19.29% volume rise was recorded, with a volume gain of 4,870 units.

The best-selling TVS motorbike has often been from the Apache line, but not in December 2022. At roughly 26k units, TVS Raider sales more than doubled. From 10,843 units at volume gain, sales increased to almost 15k units. On the other hand, sales of the TVS XL 100 decreased from 33,395 units to 26k units. As a result, the loss in volume was 7,434 units.

It is fascinating to see that 8,85,877 two-wheelers, or 19.13% more year over year, were sold in India overall for the top 10 two-wheelers in December 2022. This information points to a rising tendency in India's two-wheeler sector. Customers have a wide selection of alternatives to meet their requirements and interests, ranging from durable daily commuter cycles to fuel-efficient scooters. To retain and grow their market share, manufacturers and dealers continue to put their attention on producing in-demand wheels.
