Suzuki recently offered a sneak peek into their latest endeavour: a hydrogen-powered Burgman scooter set to debut at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show in late October 2023.  Unlike many hydrogen-powered vehicles that utilise fuel cell technology, hydrogen combines with oxygen to generate electricity. This then results in propelling the vehicle through an electric motor and leaving pure water as the sole by-product, Suzuki's hydrogen Burgman takes a different route.  This cutting-edge scooter doesn't rely on a fuel cell; instead, it incorporates an internal combustion engine that runs on hydrogen rather than traditional petrol. Although Suzuki has shared only a few details, one notable feature is the scooter's 70 Mpa (10,153 PSI) hydrogen fuel tank, indicating a significant step forward in this alternative propulsion technology. Developed based on the Burgman 400 model, Suzuki emphasises that this hydrogen-powered scooter is a technical exhibition piece with no immediate plans for commercial production. While hydrogen-powered combustion engines are not entirely new, their application in scooters represents a pioneering venture. Many manufacturers are exploring similar technology, especially in sectors like heavy equipment, where traditional batteries often prove too bulky and heavy for practical use. Suzuki will unveil additional details about this groundbreaking scooter at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show from October 26 to November 5 for those eager to learn more. Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its 2023 Gixxer 250 range of bikes in Australia. The bikes are already available in the Indian market. However, there is a major difference in the pricing for the Australian market. Let’s take a look at what we know about the bikes. Design The new 2023 Gixxer 250 twins are from the same platform, the only difference being the design. The Gixxer 250 features a naked trim, while the SF variant features large side fairings. Besides this, both bikes boast a muscular fuel tank, an upright rider triangle & an LED headlight. Both bikes also come with an ergonomic split seat design, offering a comfortable ride for both the rider and the pillion.  Engine Specs2023 Suzuki Gixxer 250 twins are powered by a 249 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing 26.13 bhp @ 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm @ 7,300 rpm. The engine is then tuned to a 6-speed gearbox.  HardwareBoth 2023 Gixxer 250 bikes come with the same hardware components. Both bikes ride on front telescopic forks and a monoshock suspension system. As for the braking system, it is handled by single front & rear disc brakes with ABS for additional braking control.
