So what is basically EICMA? “EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) is the world's premier motorcycle trade show, held annually in Milan. It’s where manufacturers showcase their latest models, innovations, and concepts to the global biking community”.  Upgrades and launches this weekEICMA 2024 saw significant motorcycle unveilings, including the Royal Enfield Bear 650, KTM 390 Adventure R, and Aprilia Tuono 457. Hero Motocorp unveiled its new Karizma XMR 250 and Xtreme 250R, while Royal Enfield unveiled its first electric bike, the Flying Flea C6, with a launch slated for 2026. However, showstoppers at Hero's stand were the unveiling of design sketches of the Xpulse 421 concept. Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 electric bikeRoyal Enfield has launched its first-ever production electric motorcycle, known as the Flying Flea C6, at EICMA. The bike has an aluminium frame coupled with a magnesium battery casing that is light in weight and provides great performance. The Flying Flea C6 is powered by a modern, contemporary safety feature such as traction control and cornering ABS. It has the first Royal Enfield model with such technology on board, and it's all set to roll out into the market in 2026. Aprilia Tuono 457 unveiledThe brand showcased at the EICMA 2024 the much-awaited Tuono 457-essentially the version of the sportbike RS 457. The Tuono does away with the fairing and boasts a new headlamp design. Further, it features a tubular single-piece handlebar for better comfort in the saddle, similar to the RS 457. Like the RS 457, the Tuono will be manufactured locally; chances are that its prices will be lower than those of their sportbike models. Royal Enfield Bear 650 launchedRoyal Enfield launched the scrambler version of the Interceptor 650, called the Bear 650. Royal Enfield Unveils Next-Gen Himalayan Electric 2.0
CalendarPublished on November 5, 2024 by BikeJunction
Royal Enfield has unveiled the Himalayan Electric 2.0, a next-generation variant of its adventure touring motorcycle. The electric variant promises to offer better off-road performance with sustainable, zero-emission performance based on the success of the original. The Himalayan Electric 2.0 has advanced battery technology built into it. Further, it is designed for rugged terrain, offering a longer range, faster charging, and a more robust build.   This motor is designed to supply the finest power flow possible. It makes it perfect for environmentally conscious adventure-seekers. It will be suited for riders who want efficiency along with great high-performance mileage in more rugged territories.  Quick Highlights:New-generation electric ADV with improved performance.Features updated UI and design elements.Equipped with advanced electronic suspension technology.Inspired by Himalayan 450 with rugged styling.Market feedback will shape future production models. The Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric 2.0 is officially out. It is the second generation of the brand's electric ADV motorcycle project. The first prototype of the electric Himalayan was introduced last year at EICMA. The Himalayan Electric 2.0 brings several upgrades and improvements compared to its predecessor.  Design and Features: Rugged, Refined, and Ready for Adventure The design seems like a derivative of the Himalayan 450. The bike comes with a windscreen, round LED headlight and tail light, all the same as the Himalayan 450. It still retains the "tank frame" look of the ICE version but has the battery and motor well-integrated. As a whole, it is purposeful, carrying an adventure touring bike with a rugged look and the aggressive styling of a rally bike.  Royal Enfield hasn't revealed any details on the prototype bike's battery size or motor capacity. However, it does confirm that the motor and battery are the same. It also uses electronic suspension for the Himalayan Electric 2.0.  The test bike has gold-coloured wire-spoke rims, a robust swingarm, and disc brakes at both the front and rear. The riding position is tall and upright, staying true to the typical adventure touring (ADV) style.  Royal Enfield has stated that the Himalayan Electric is still some time away. Based on market feedback, the company plans to release at least two more iterations before launching a production model. But an electric Himalayan sounds interesting, for sure. Before you leave, have a look at the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R Showcased. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb  Instagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta  Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
