Bajaj Auto has launched the new Chetak Blue 3202 in India for Rs 1,15,018. This new model is an updated version of the older Chetak Urbane, with a new name and better battery, but it costs less. You can buy it in four colours: Matte Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black, and Indigo Metallic. Let’s know more about the newly launched Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 scooter:   Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 Specifications Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 has the same 3.2kWh battery but offers more range and the same top speed. It can go up to 137 Km on a full charge.  This is better than the Bajaj Chetak, which had a range of 127 Km. Moreover, it has a 4.2kW motor that lets it reach a top speed of 73 kmph.    The scooter uses a special type of front suspension called a trailing link and a mono-shock at the back for smooth rides. In addition, it comes with 12-inch alloy wheels fitted with MRF Zapper tyres. The front and rear brakes are drum brakes.    Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 Features Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 has a simple digital screen that shows speed, battery level, trip details, and odometer readings. It has one riding mode called Eco and offers limited smartphone connection.   However, if you choose the TecPac version, which costs Rs. 5,000 more, you get extra features. These include a better colour display, two riding modes (Eco and Sport), reverse mode, hill-hold assist, and full smartphone connectivity. FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has announced its August 2024 sales report that registered a YoY increase of 6.28 % and a MoM decline of 7.29 %.  CategoryAugust 2024August 2023YoY %July 2024MoM %2-Wheeler1,338,237 1,259,1406.28%1,443,463-7.29% In August 2024, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 1,338,237 units, whereas in August 2023, the industry saw sales of 1,259,140 units. This resulted in a 6.28% increase in YoY growth. However, a 7.29% decline in MoM sales is seen, as in July 2024, sales figures were 1,443,463 units. OEM-wise Market Share Data for August 2024 with YoY % 2-Wheeler OEMs Sales Figures & Market Share in August 2024 Hero MotoCorp LTD sold the most two-wheelers in August 2024, with 358,616 units. This is 2.87% more than the 348,613 units they sold in August 2023. However, their market share dropped by 3.21%. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India came in second, selling 352,605 units in August 2024. This is a 13.37% increase from the 311,026 units they sold in August 2023. Their market share grew by 6.67%. TVS Motor Company Ltd was third, selling 236,597 units in August 2024 compared to 225,576 units sold in August 2023. Their sales increased by 4.89%, and the market share decreased by 1.31%. Bajaj Auto Ltd showed a marginal 0.35% growth in sales, selling 149,031 units in August 2024 compared to 148,516 last year. Its market share dropped slightly to 5.58%. Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed a strong growth of 14.12% YoY, with 79,307 units sold in August 2024, compared to 69,492 in August 2023. Suzuki’s market share also rose to 7.38%. Royal Enfield motorcycles experienced an 8.06% decline in sales, with 54,810 units sold in August 2024, down from 59,612 last year. Its market share decreased to 13.49%. Yamaha India sold 51,996 units in August 2024, which is a 4.12% increase from 49,937 units in August 2023. However, their market share declined to 2.03%.  In August 2024, Ola Electric reported total sales of 27,517, a whopping 46.76% increase compared to August 2023 sales of 18,750 units. Moreover, the company also gained a 38.08% market share rise.  Ather Energy Pvt Ltd sold 10,830 units in August 2024. For comparison, the company registered sales of 7,157 units in August 2023, reporting an increase of 51.32%. Moreover, on the market share front, the company also experienced an increase of 42.38% this month. Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd clocked in a total sales unit of 2,816 in August 2024, as compared to 2,926 units sold in August 2023. Due to this, the company saw a decline of 3.76% this month. Apart from this, the company also experienced a decline in its market share by 9.45% for August 2024.  Piaggio sold 2,712 units in August 2024, a 9.63% decrease from the 3,001 units sold in August 2023. The company’s market share also dropped slightly to 14.97%. Classic Legends, which offers retro-style motorcycles, sold 2,058 units in August 2024. This represents a 13.13% decline from the 2,369 units sold in August 2023. Royal Enfield has teamed up with Rev’it to launch a new line of premium motorcycling machines in India. Rev'It designed the gear specifically for Royal Enfield based on input from adventure riding experts.  - Available in two product lines – Sahara Air and Darcha Pro- Collection includes riding jackets, gloves, and trousers  Royal Enfield offers a selection of riding jackets, gloves, and trousers for both men and women. The company emphasises that this all-weather motorcycle prioritises comfort, safety, and adaptability. It has removable liners and shields for improved performance and protection. The collection is divided into two products: Sahara Air and Darcha Pro.  All-Weather Riding Gear-Sahara Air and Darcha Pro Collections Sahara Air products are made from mesh fabrics and include all-weather jackets and riding gloves. The jacket features CE Level 2 armour for the shoulders and sleeves and CE Level 2 back protection. It also has a detachable Hydrate rain liner. Designed for winter riding, the mesh sleeves come with TPR ankle protection.  In contrast, the Darcha Pro series caters to adventure enthusiasts and includes a riding jacket, trousers, and gloves. The jacket offers CE Level 2 protection for shoulders, elbows, and back and features a removable thermal liner and a Hydratex rain liner.  The Darcha Pro Riding Pants feature CE Level 2 knee protection and CE Level 1 hip protection. Like a riding jacket, the pants have removable rain insulation and thermal liners. The Darcha Pro gloves feature a hand guard, a TPR wrist guard and a TPU hard shell knuckle guard.
