OLA Electric was started in 2017 when Bhavish Aggarwal, who co-founded OLA Cabs, decided to do something big for the environment. He wanted to focus on electric vehicles (EVs) to help make transportation more sustainable.

They kicked things off with a pilot project in Nagpur, where they introduced electric cabs, e-rickshaws and charging station setups. By 2019, they raised a lot of money from investors, which helped them grow their business. 

After that, in December 2021, OLA Electric launched its first electric scooter, the OLA S1. In just one month, they got over 500,000 bookings. To keep up with the huge demand, they built the OLA Future Factory in Tamil Nadu, which is one of the biggest factories in the world that makes two-wheelers. 

Their most popular e-scooters include OLA S1 Air and S1 Pro, which come packed with awesome features. Moreover, OLA new bikes, like Roadster, Roadster X and Roadster Pro, were launched in August 2024. Now, the company is planning to launch new electric adventure motorcycles by 2025.

OLA Roadster is designed for performance and efficiency. It features a powerful 13 kW motor and offers a top speed of 116 kmph. The model provides an impressive range of 151 km on a single charge, which makes it suitable for long rides. 

Moreover, the bike includes advanced features like a digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, and multiple riding modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal, Eco) for varied driving experiences. It takes around 4.60 hours to charge from 0-80%.

OLA Roadster X shares many similarities with the standard model but focuses on enhanced performance. It also features 2.5 kWh that can reach a top speed of 105 kmph. This OLA bike range is around 117 km per charge with quick acceleration capabilities. The bike is designed with user-friendly technology, including smartphone connectivity and navigation assistance.

OLA Roadster Pro stands out with its sporty design and advanced technology. It features an 8 KWh powerful battery and delivers the most 579 Km of range. Like its counterparts, the model includes various riding modes and smart connectivity options.
