BMW S 1000 XR [2024]

BMW has just launched the R 12 S bike in the international market. It is painted in Lava Orange Metallic, inspired by the iconic R 90 S Daytona Orange from 1975. In the USA, the BMW R 12 S is priced at USD 21,590 (around Rs. 18.26 lakh). Unfortunately, the R 12 S is not expected to debut in India. However, it shares compatibility with accessories from the R 12 nineT, making customization easy for owners. Performance and Features The BMW R 12 S is powered by a 1,170cc boxer-twin engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a shaft drive system. It delivers 108 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. This engine is the same as the one used in the R 12 nineT.It also comes with bar-end mirrors and a sleek rear seat cowl. The spoked wheels with anodized rims add a vintage feel, while the black handlebars and fork tubes give it a bold look. The bike’s left-side twin exhaust setup is unique and adds character. Moreover, the bike has fully adjustable USD front forks and a rear monoshock for a smooth ride. It features disc brakes on both ends and premium 17-inch tyres.
