The Ultraviolette F77 is currently India's fastest and most expensive electric two-wheeler. It is also the Bengaluru-based startup's only offering in the market right now. However, this new trademark will likely change that.
The F77 is supposed to be the company's main product, and this new X44-badged offering might be a more affordable option. The trademark application specifies that this name might be used on an electric motorbike or a scooter, further expanding the manufacturer's product portfolio.
The electric scooter market in India is very competitive, with proven offers from major OEMs and new-age innovators. If the X44 proves to be an electric scooter, it will have fierce competition in the market.
At the launch of F77, the company, in a video presentation, displayed a range of new offerings, and it is expected that X44 could be one of them. Ultraviolette is planning to set up multiple charging stations across India by 2024 are part of the company's efforts to support the adoption and growth of electric vehicles in the country. However, the specific time when this initiative will begin, and the locations of the charging stations are yet to be revealed.
