Kawasaki Unveils Ninja ZX-10RR Overseas

ZX-10RR will power a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine, gets a new variable air intake system

Kawasaki has introduced its new model Ninja ZX-10RR in the United States. The litre-class supersport has undergone a few changes while preserving its originality. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR has a track-ready design and an aggressive appearance. It keeps the split LED headlamps and a bubble visor. The bike's air intake is in the centre, and Kawasaki has changed the bike's internals for 2024. 

Performance of ZX-10RR 

The ZX-10RR features a cutting-edge variable air intake system called VAI within its airbox. This innovative system includes two moveable intake funnels that adjust according to the RPM. When the funnels are fully raised, the bike benefits from improved performance at high RPMs. Conversely, the air passing through enhances the low and mid-range performance when the units are only 35mm high at lower RPMs. The setup can only be utilised when the ZX-10RR is in its race configuration, requiring a racing ECU and a sub-controller.

Engine of Kawasaki ZX-10RR

The Ninja ZX-10RR boasts a powerful 998cc, inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 211bhp and 111.8Nm of torque. It has a bi-directional quick-shifter for smooth gear changes. The bike offers a wide range of rider aids, including four ride modes sport, rain, road, and rider. The other features include cruise control, ABS, launch control, IMU, engine brake control, traction control, and power modes.

Features of Kawasaki ZX-10RR

The bike features a TFT screen displaying important information such as the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and fuel level readout. Additionally, convenience is provided with smartphone connectivity.

The hardware setup on the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR consists of 43mm USD balance-free front forks and a linked rear shock, both fully adjustable. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises dual 330mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels, shod to Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. 

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR Prices

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR in the USA is priced at USD 30,499 (approximately Rs. 25 lakhs, incl. taxes). If Kawasaki India plans to launch the bike in our market, it will be costly and rival the Ducati Panigale V4, BMW S1000RR, and others.
