The Xtreme 160R 4V is equipped with a more powerful 4-valve engine. The update also brings some cosmetic changes to the bike. The price of the Xtreme 160R 4V in India varies from Rs. 1.27 lakh to Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), depending on the variant.
The golden 37mm KYB USD fork certainly adds a striking and premium look and gives it a more aggressive and sporty appearance. The inclusion of a 7-step preload adjustable Showa monoshock further indicates an upgrade in the bike's suspension capabilities. The special suspension hardware, including the golden USD fork and the adjustable mono-shock, is available only on the top-spec Pro variant of the Xtreme 160R 4V. The other two variants have a telescopic fork and a regular mono-shock setup.
The bike offers both a single-seat and split-seat configuration. The tank extensions on the Xtreme 160R 4V are longer and angular. The bike features a dual-tone paint scheme, adding a touch of style. The full-LED headlight is redesigned, potentially improving visibility.
The new switchgear on the Xtreme 160R 4V offers a more premium feel than its predecessor. It is the same switchgear found on the updated Hero Xpulse 200 4V, indicating an upgrade in quality. The 163cc, single-cylinder engine now includes an oil cooler in addition to being air-cooled. The engine has a modern 4-valve head, resulting in improved performance. It produces 16.9hp at 8,500rpm and 14.5Nm of torque. It offers a power increase of 1.7hp compared to the 2-valve Xtreme 160R.
The Standard and Connected variants of the Xtreme 160R 4V weigh 144 kg, while the Pro variant weighs 145 kg. The bike retains the 12-litre fuel capacity and other cycle parts from the Xtreme 160R 2V. The Xtreme 160R 4V is equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled negative LCD display. The bike offers various accessories, including a single seat, phone mount, bar end mirrors, and more.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants - Standard, Connected, and Pro. The Standard and connected variants are available at Rs. 1,27,300 and Rs. 1,32,800, respectively. However, the Pro variant is available at Rs. 1,36,500 Ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Standard variant features a telescopic fork and a single seat. The Connected variant comes with Bluetooth connectivity, offering additional connectivity features. The Pro variant is equipped with the USD fork, a split-seat setup, and striking dual-tone colours, adding a premium touch to the bike.
The Xtreme 160R 4V will be sold with Xtreme 160R 2V, which is still available for purchase. The Xtreme 160R 2V is priced between Rs. 1,18,886 and Rs. 1,30,008 Ex-showroom, Delhi. The Xtreme 160R 4V is positioned at a slightly higher price range compared to its competitors. It is priced above the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Bookings for the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V are set to open soon, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second week of July.
