This resulted in a 4.66% increase in YoY growth. This is a 24.00% increase from the 283,398 units they sold in June 2023. Their market share grew by 18.48%. TVS Motor Company Ltd was third, selling 236,180 units in June 2024 compared to 227,163 units sold in June 2023. Their sales increased by 3.97% and the market share decreased by 0.66%. Top 3 EV Manufacturers With Highest 2-Wheeler Sales Figures & Market ShareIn June 2024, Ola Electric, as usual, took the first position in the electric two-wheeler market for selling the highest number of EVs. The company reported total sales figures of 36,723 in June 2024, marking a whopping growth of 107.57% when compared to June 2023 sales figures of 17,692 units. Moreover, the company also gained a market share rise of 98.33%.  Ather Energy Pvt Ltd took the next position after Ola Electric by selling 6,104 units in June 2024. For comparison, the company registered sales of 4,603 units in June 2023, reporting an increase of 32.61%. Moreover, on the market share front, the company also experienced an increase of 26.70% this month. Last but not least, the third position on the list is held by Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd for June 2024. The company clocked in a total sales unit of 2,713 in June 2024, as compared to 1,440 units sold in June 2023. Due to this, the company saw an impressive increase of 88.40% this month. June was full of exciting new launches for the bike industry. We have seen the arrival of many new bikes, scooters, and modified versions. Highlights included scooters like the Yamaha Fascino S and the Hero Xoom Combat Edition, the upgraded Bajaj Pulsar range, luxury bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja and the ZX-4RR. There was something for everyone.1. 2024 Bajaj Pulsar Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 220F & Pulsar N160 Launch  In recent months, Bajaj has completely revamped the Pulsar N&NS series. Now, the manufacturer has introduced 2024 models of Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150, and Pulsar 220F, with new upgrades and models, as well as a new look for the Bajaj Pulsar N160.The Bajaj Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 220F have been updated with a completely new LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging ports. This new console will replace the iconic semi-digital in all three models. In addition, each bike now has a new graphic design.The latest Bajaj Pulsar N160 has been introduced. It features 33mm reverse brass, turn-by-turn navigation, and three riding modes: Road, Rain, and Off-Road.2. Jawa 350 Launch The Jawa 350 comes with new colour options and a new alloy wheel variant, starting from ₹ 2.46 Lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to the existing colour scheme, the bike now comes in four new colours: Obsidian Black, Grey, Deep Forest and Chrome White.The rest of the bike’s features and hardware remain unchanged. Still powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 22.5PS and 28.1Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox and paddle clutch, the Jawa 350 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h. h in 10.98 seconds. It offers actual tested mileage of 30 km/l in the city and 28.32 km/l on the highway.3. Bajaj Chetak 2901 Launch  Bajaj has launched the Chetak 2901, its most affordable electric scooter in India. The e-scooter features a central motor paired with a 2.88 kWh battery pack, which offers a top speed of 63 km/h and a claimed range of 123 km. Furthermore, it takes 6 hours to charge from an average of 0 to 100 percent.It has the same colour LCD instrument cluster as the old Alert and offers a TecPac as an optional add-on. The Chetak 2901 is available in five colors: Azure Blue, Ebony Black Met, Racing Red, Lime Yellow and Cyber White.4. Yamaha Fascino S Launch    Yamaha has launched the new Fascino S Scooter in India, positioned at the top of the Fascino lineup. This scooter now has the ‘Answer Back feature’, which allows you to locate your scooter in crowded areas or markets. It helps through the ‘Yamaha Scooter Answer Back’ application on your smartphone. All other features remain the same as the Yamaha Fascino disc variant.The new Fascino S comes in three colors: Matt Red-SPL, Matte Black-SPL, and Dark Matte Blue-SPL.5. Hero Xoom 110 Combat Edition Launch  Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xoom 110 Combat Edition in India. It features a stunning new Matt Shadow Gray colour scheme with neon red and black grey trim. The Combat edition, which was showcased on the Xoom 110 ZX, now leads the range of Hero scooters.Apart from the cosmetic updates, all other aspects, including features, hardware, and engine specifications, remain unchanged. The Xoom 110 Combat Edition continues to be powered by the familiar 110.9cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 8.05PS and 8.70Nm of torque.6. BGauss RUV 350 Electric Scooter Launch  Pune-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Bgauss has introduced the RUV 350 as its new flagship electric scooter, replacing the D15-e scooter. The RUV 350 is offered in three variants: RUV 350i, RUV 350 EX, and its top-of-the-line RUV 350 Max. The base and midform are 90km apart. The BGauss RUV 350 electric scooter boasts steel bodywork and features an IP67-certified, hub-mounted motor capable of producing a peak output of 3.5kW and 165Nm of torque. It has three riding modes: Eco, Ride and Sport. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 75 km/h in Sport mode.7. Zelio X Men Electric Scooter Launch  Zelio E-Bikes, a Haryana-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched the low-speed X Men electric scooter in India. The scooter is offered in five different battery capacities: 1.92 kWh, 2.3 kWh, 2.736kWh, and 2.28kWh (all lead-acid), and black, white, sea green, and red with a 1.92kWh lithium-ion battery as the top battery. There are four different colour options to choose from.The 1.92kWh (lead acid) variant has a claimed range of 55-60km. The 2.3kWh (lead acid) variant offers a range of 70 km, and the top-end 1.9kWh lithium-ion battery variant provides a range of 80km. It is a low-speed scooter, and the top speed is limited to 25kmph.8. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR & Ninja 300 Launch  Earlier this month, Kawasaki announced the Ninja ZX-4RR, which offers increased power and new features. Priced at Rs 60,000 more than the regular ZX-4R, it is provided in a unique lime green colour.It has the same 399cc liquid-cooled in-line four engine found in the Ninja ZX-4R but with an output of 77PS at 14,500rpm and 39Nm at 13,000rpm—2PS and 1.4Nm more than the ZX-4R. With ram air, it increases the maximum power output to 80PS. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and includes standard features like an auxiliary slipper clutch and a bi-directional quick shifter.After a brief hiatus, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been reintroduced with updated models. The Yamaha R3 has always been a bit expensive but loved by many in India. After returning to the market, it remains pricey at Rs 4,65,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The big question is whether it’s still adored and can compete in the growing 300-500cc segment. In this review, we explore that: 2024 Yamaha R3 Review: Engine Performance  The Yamaha R3 has a twin-cylinder engine that can rev up to 13,000 rpm. It can reach around 63 kmph in first gear, which is impressive for a 300cc bike. It is great for weekend rides and track days. However, it is recommended that you upgrade the stock Dunlop Sportmax tyres to TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres for better overall grip. Moreover, this sports bike can hold 100 kmph in 6th gear @ 6000 rpm. Beyond this speed, however, you may feel some vibration in the handlebars when the engine is running hard. It handles low speeds well, even in higher gears, but it gets very hot in traffic, and you’ll feel it on your feet if you’re not wearing riding pants. The heavy clutch can also fatigue in traffic due to its lack of traction and support. Moreover, its fuel efficiency is around 23-24 kmpl when riding hard and around 26-27 kmpl when riding more leisurely.2024 Yamaha R3 Review: Design 2024 Yamaha R3 has a new, sharp dual LED lighting system with an intake between them. This makes it seem more aggressive. However, it now looks very similar to the Yamaha R15, especially the more expensive R15S, which may confuse some people. It comes in two colors: Yamaha Black and Icon Blue. The black is subtle, so if you want your R3 to stand out more, the blue colour might be best.2024 Yamaha R3 Review: Features     Yamaha R3 is simple in terms of features, without any fancy TFT screens or rider aids. It has a large tachometer with a gear position indicator and a speedometer underneath. At the bottom, there are gauges for engine temperature, fuel, a clock, an odometer, and trip meters. Two buttons under the console allow you to switch trip meters or change the units (from kmph to mph, for example). The layout is clear and easy to read. This can detract from the bike's aspirational appeal.2024 Yamaha R3 Review: Hardware The 2024 Yamaha R3 offers great handling, striking a balance between ease for beginners and excitement for experienced riders. It's not as sharp as some rivals but is predictable and easy to steer, making cornering fun. The upper body ergonomics are comfortable and upright, with tall clip-ons avoiding the usual sport bike posture. However, the lower body ergonomics are tight, making taller riders (around 6 feet) feel cramped, especially with the not-so-roomy seat. Riders up to 5’9'' usually find it fine.
